He just needed 3-4 months of total rest since last November but I guess that was too much to ask for. An injury that can be played on but at his own peril.
She's right. Let Tari heal 100% before he comes back. He's too important to risk a re-injury. Since Jalen is staying in the starting lineup, we're basically punting the season anyway.
Well I think we can ascertain from Momster's posts that it's not a cover up but a misdiagnosis or at least not a complete one. It sounds like she (as well as Tari) is frustrated with the Rockets medical staff. Hopefully the deep imaging tests will give them an accurate picture of everything and Udoka will tell us tomorrow. I'm glad they're erring on the side of caution as I want Tari at full physical strength before coming back to the grind of 4 games a week NBA. At least the team realizes how valuable he is to our long term success and won't jeopardize that for any short term considerations this year.
Guess we can go back to ignoring. October: Tari is being evaluated! Tari is ramping up! Tari expected to participate in team drills! Tari is close! January: Tari is being evaluated! Tari is ramping up! Tari expected to participate in team drills! Tari is close! February: Tari is being evaluated! Tari is ramping up! Tari expected to participate in team drills! Tari is close!
looks like he took the Kawhi comparisons a little too seriously. This is what I thought would happen when we were hearing the lack information pre-deadline. It's more than disappointing since he probably would have been starting the last 20 games.
Alpi, Tari and Amen together on the court will be a lot of fun to watch. Plus Cam, eventually. FVV Cam Amen Tari Alpi This lineup would kick ass. And we still have Bari, too. I guess eventually it could just be Amen Cam Bari Tari Alpi And when we need a bruiser, Steven Adams comes in. It's pretty clear who the odd man out is...Jalen. Unless he accepts 10m/year and a role as 7th man.
So I’m not trying to overreact, but this Tari injury has really been a disaster. He’s been my favorite rocket since he first took the court. He’s got a long and great career ahead of him. But it sure seems like this injury was mismanaged. The fact that they still don’t really know what’s going on is beyond troubling. He’s basically missed his second year of development. This team isn’t good but we’d have a couple more wins at this point if Tari was healthy. I can only pray that he’s 100% health next season with no real chance of reinjury. That’s all that matters. Put him on the shelf or whatever you’ve got to do this year, but I want my Tari back fully healthy next year. He’s more of a cornerstone of this franchise than folks realize. is Keith jones still on the staff? Isn’t Houston supposed to be the best medical care in the world? If they screwed up on this heads need to roll. It’s so freaking weird.
It's also weird how there have been literally no meaningful updates. "Stress reaction" is what we were told before season started. Does that mean fracture? So he played on a not fully healed fracture when he came back? So annoying lol.
He's pretty much done for the season. No reason to rush him back when we aren't playing for anything meaningful
^^^^ This What do Tari and a dead man have in common? Neither will have played in a game in 6 months.
it is clearly obvious this guy does not heal. i used to love his energy and muscles and his built. someone sold rockets a spoilt tool, without reporting it. i ask for jail time for the marketers and selectors. 10 games a season for a healthy body is not realistic.
Put him back out there, find out if he can handle it....if he can't shut him down....he has all summer to heal. DD
