Sounds like those guys took a bullet for their teammate. That's admirable and adds credibility to the story. Dude does look like a screamer (verbal abuser) with those eyes. lol

Management and Coaches were playing chess and the players checkers. Never underestimate that someone above you is manipulating your fate. You always need to be one step ahead. Oppenheimer. Sprewell wasn't playing the long game.

Having a coach call you mother f*cker like it's your new nickname will touch some nerves.

They're not shooting into a basket, it's more of a ring. They should call it ringball.

Think about the NBA product and that this thread, with so many basketball enthusiasts posting, is basically the most popular one, LOL, compared to the contemporary teams and, like, Hornets versus Jazz or whatever schite the leagues offers up.

I was just coming here to post this.... back when this happened, I defended Spreewell here on ClutchCity.net saying that Carlisimo was responsible for the majority of the blame and deserved what he got.

I'd love to hear from my opponents now, time for the OGs to chime in...

Kobe embarrassed Sprewell so bad that one time in the game. Also that coach probably needs to learn how to defend himself and fight back.

Very knowledgeable coach, but yes, when he runs the show he is an *******. The choking incident hurt his career - he has been a good assistant for years because the head coach keeps him under control and because PJ took counseling after this, and learned how to control himself.

I work with a lot of a-holes. Doesn’t mean choking them is right….but I understand.
