The post you were responding to was addressed to me. Your response is great! I have no need to respond to him. Someday he will realize his boy Jalen is not the player he thought he was.
You’re missing out on a lot of good Rockets related Twitter/X content from guys like Bradeaux, Will, Roosh, RedNinetyFour and Jackson Gatlin. The Houston Chronicle’s coverage has become a joke and they’ve cut coverage our teams to the bone. Feigen himself is fine but just relying on him or Iko (who no longer exclusively covers the Rockets) will leave you really in the dark when it comes to knowing what’s going on with this team. Traditional media is dead.
Correct, so they're corroborating a part of the story: Jalen told someone to go f*ck himself for saying he should be benched. Then he told the same person - who keeps tagging and giving basketball advice to Jalen - to go f*ck himself for acting like he is somehow responsible for Jalen having a couple of good games. We're not even sure if these two things were in text or call, but let's say they're both in text. This is a boring story if it's all we're talking about. They are making up that there's "more" and it's *gasp* much worse if they show us. He is making up that players call him all the time and just chat him up about basketball - and he's making that up because he's trying to parlay this marketing campaign into a career where he's a trusted source (he doesn't seem to realize that's dead because he leaked this). People like Woj and Shams probably get attacked on a weekly basis, the gloves never come off for a trusted, mature person. They don't need it. If the story here is Jalen Green thinks he's not being used properly and doesn't see himself as a 6th man and he said this to someone in private - what exactly has Jalen done wrong? He's not even wrong, it's a totally subjective thing and tons of us have been saying for a couple of months he's being used wrong. If Jalen had come out and said this to the media, I can understand the drama but these guys are exaggerating this because they want to draw attention to themselves. They also want Jalen to come out and deny it by leaving it half-corroborated, which will give them followers and views from Jalen. It's a joke tbh. I hope Jalen is busy working on his shot, I don't care if he privately tells people he's not being used properly as long as he's trying his best in the system the coach chose. They're not mutually exclusive. Saying you're not used properly and you don't see yourself as a 6th man doesn't mean you've not taken responsibility for missing the kind of shots you're getting in this offense. Again what these people fail to mention is: Green's increased effort, improved defense and better unselfishness is a direct execution of what Udoka has asked. There's something Udoka is asking which he has not been able to achieve despite his patience and best efforts and all the wings on the roster (and Celtics in 21-22) are below expectations scoring in Udoka's horrifyingly packed paint. I hope Jalen just mocked this stuff, laughed about how he got too heated and worked on his 3pt shot for a week. It's not like he attacked the lead assistant coach in the locker room. He did something Kevin Durant does - engaged a fan more than they should. All of this would be a joke if he just finishes the season strong whether as a starter or from the bench.
No, they are not - this is what Jalen said, to a fan, who tweeted about him. This happened, just because you don't want to believe it, doesn't mean it isn't true, it is 100% true..... Stop focusing on the messenger and focus on the mentally weak assed 22 year old 4th year pro that worries about what random people on the internet say about him. DD
Yo don't lump Will, Bradeaux and Gatlin into this, those guys are in another tier from Roosh. Those guys are genuine and give room for all perspectives.
Agreed. I'd throw Clutch in there as well. But specifically Jackson and Frank are my two favorites. I'm not on twitter much at all, but I always watch Frank and Jackson's videos on Youtube. They put out really good content IMO.
You're sounding like those guys that kept sticking up for KPj last year when we all saw the signs. Jalen is a high level basketball talent incapable of being a productive professional basketball player. It's fine. We need to pivot now and stop wasting everyone's time. Including Jalen's.
That's ridiculous, I'm acknowledging what they've shared - that Jalen took a dump on that dude. I've already said it was immature. How is that sticking up for Jalen? The source is being intentionally murky and evasive, corroborating the most boring part of the article and projecting out the rest to clearly delusional levels. This guy thinks players chat him up about basketball and Jalen improved from talking to him. This person's pattern is crystal clear to me. KPJ defenders are saying he never hit his GF. That's willful ignorance. The equivalent would be if I were saying none of this ever happened, and that's not what's happening here. I know it's inconvenient, but the truth is we are just talking about an immature conversation a player had with a fan. From the reaction people have had, you'd never guess it was something so small compared to Jalen's struggles. Is that interaction worse than Jalen's actual TS%? Not even close. However if you beat and choke your gf, that's worse than anything bad you're doing on the court. I think you just really want this to matter a lot, but the truth is Udoka will care very little about this and there is evidence that he has heard all this already. They sped up the pace on the team - do you think they did that for Sengun? Jabari? Brooks? FVV? This is likely old news to Udoka.
I don't really care about the Jalen Roosh drama other than for amusementertainment purposes (which are substantial! VERY SUBSTANTIAL!) But it's ironic how in the DD credibilty scale, @Roosh Williams is taken at his word as 100% true, meanwhile KPJ pleaded guilty to 3rd degree assault in open court amid all the accounts and physical evidence is continuously rewritten in ways that are more advantageous to the KPJ-stan-hill-to-die-on.
Yea buddy. Apply his previous post to the KPJ scale and then snort the irony like cocaine. This myst be the greatest month of Doosh Williams life.
They don’t have reputations. They don’t have to worry about losing anything. The worst that could happen to them is they could catch heat on Twitter from nba nerds. No one who matters will spend one second responding to what they say regardless of what it is. If there were DM’s that were as bad as Roosh says he would release them. You know why? because they would probably make national news. That’s what an aspiring report would want. His name would be all over actual, reputable NBA news. He would love to break that story if he could. But he can’t because it’s bullshit.
The Rockets X/Twitter community does have good content, but the problem is all constant torrent of middle-school drama you have to wade through to find it.
Whatever. I do not think there is any type of conspiracy going on. The 5(or more) of them are open to being liable to defamation if they are lying. Jalen could easily sue them. It is your prerogative to believe it or not, If it was just Roosh I would not believe it however I did believe when it was conformed by one person. Now with 5(or more) it removes all doubt it happened for me. To each their own
Do I believe Jalen said what he said to Roosh?? PROBABLY BUT WHO CARES! Do I believe Jalen is young mentally and will make mistakes?? WE ALL HAVE, ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE IS LYING. Do I believe he is having a bad yr?? HELL YES! WE ALL HAVE UPS AND DOWNS. ONE BAD YR, DOESN'T DEFINE YOU AS A PERSON OR PLAYER. Do I believe there are variables that is effecting his play?? YES, NEW PG, NEW HC, NEW ROLE. ALL OF WHICH CAN TAKE A YOUNG 22YR PLAYER TIME TO ADJUST TO
