Hmm... for many years, companies have incorporated in the state of Delaware because Delaware had a very friendly pro-business atmosphere. Reduced risk of litigation, lower taxes (no state income tax, no inheritance tax on stocks held by non-residents, no sales tax on intangible property like royalty payments, no DE business license, low business start-up costs among many reasons). Heck, over 65% of all Fortune 500 corporations have incorporated in Delaware.

Yet musk is butthurt about the state blocking a huge salary increase for him. Waaahhh...

All platforms that aren't closed with kyc have bot problems. It's very difficult to have an open platform and to contain bots.
Are you criticizing him for not solving a problem meta and other platforms haven't solved yet?

"big number to make space man look bad! I dont know what it means but I must post ASAP!"

For those who didn't bother to read the shitty article, this is about inauthentic monitoring of traffic generated from advertising.

    https://isp.today/evidence-shows-fake-traffic-on-elon-musks-x-during-super-bowl-weekend/

February 16, 2024 by Marcin Frąckiewicz
Evidence Shows Fake Traffic on Elon Musk’s X During Super Bowl Weekend

Recent data indicates that a substantial portion of the traffic on Elon Musk’s X during Super Bowl weekend may have been fake. According to cybersecurity firm CHEQ, a staggering 75.85% of the traffic from X to its advertising clients’ websites during the weekend of the Super Bowl was determined to be fake. This finding is unprecedented, with CHEQ’s founder and CEO, Guy Tytunovich, expressing his astonishment at the magnitude of the fake traffic.

The data analyzed by CHEQ is based on 144,000 visits that originated from X during the Super Bowl weekend of Friday, February 9 to Sunday, February 11. Although this data represents only a small portion of the overall traffic, it suggests a discernible trend towards fake activity. CHEQ specializes in identifying bots and fake users across the internet to combat online ad fraud.

X users have also reported an increase in inauthentic activity on the platform, such as bots generating AI-generated responses and spamming users with unsolicited promotions. Advertisers have noticed this issue as well, with one small business owner sharing his disappointment in X’s ad campaign results. Despite X’s analytics indicating 350 clicks from approximately 29,000 views, Google Analytics showed no traffic coming from X during that time period.

Comparing X’s Super Bowl traffic to other social media platforms, the problem with fake traffic on Musk’s platform becomes even more apparent. X had nearly 76% fake traffic, whereas platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram had significantly lower percentages of fake traffic during the same period.

The issue of fake traffic extends beyond the Super Bowl weekend and pervades X’s overall performance. In January 2024, X recorded 31.82% fake traffic out of a total of 759,000 visits. Tytunovich emphasized that the data provided by CHEQ only accounts for bots that interacted with their clients’ websites and not the total number of fake users on social media platforms.

Despite the magnitude of the fake traffic issue, X has yet to address the problem. CHEQ’s data demonstrates that X’s bot problem during the Super Bowl weekend was far more severe compared to last year’s event, indicating a concerning trend. With the increasing prevalence of fake activity, it becomes essential for platforms like X to take proactive steps in combating the issue and protecting their users and advertisers from fraudulent practices.
