Anything to reduce predictability works for me. No back does well when he is swarmed in the backfield. We even did it to Henry after he's torn us up repeatedly. The difference was his line was on their fourth and fifth stringers like ours was early on with Pierce.

True, but you saw how much better singletary did with the same line. Would you say singletary is a better back (in which case getting a back better than singletary is even more exciting) or is singletary better at recognizing holes and shifty enough to hit them than Pierce is? And if it’s both then OLine getting to gel for another off-season and a back even better at all of that than singletary sounds perfect recipe.

The situation was constantly changing with our personnel, the play calling and the opponents. Part is the style of the runner, so I don't know whether we could say with a high level of confidence who would be better or worse with us. I've even toyed with the idea with using Breven Jordan as a RB because of his speed and pass catching abilities. But we would need to have TE covered with either Schultz, a FA or a draft pick.

I know I'm out of my element with evaluation of personnel, but I think I have a pretty good handle on financial management and negotiations. This is why I can be happy with Caserio working well with a consensus personnel selection model rather than an autocratic model and be amazed at his technical expertise getting the players agreed upon, whether they work out or not.

I see many threads from other teams that essentially are, "We are overpaying a guy. and need his cap space. Who can we pawn him off on? And then they mention the Texans."

Totally off the wall, but I was listening to a broadcast where callers refused to call the Padres anything but San Diego and others called the Raiders Oakland. It got me to thinking about me still thinking the Cardinal should be St' Louis. Then it dawned on me. The TEXANS have won FOUR SUPERBOWLS. Although it is the rebranded DALLAS TEXANS (1960) who move to Kansas City becoming the Chiefs.

How are yall always calling people stupid for their opinions? You see a picture and just go off that. He mentioned Colts will have a third place schedule while barely missing the playoffs and Texans have a tough first place schedule. Very understandable. Also said he still loves houston.

It's just math. Stupid people are more likely to have stupid opinions statistically.

He has to be thinking Texans won't continue to improve and won't handle the tough schedule.
    Or he's just incredibly naive.
Texans have a great chance to go 6-0 in the AFCS and only have to pick up a few games after that and they're in.

NEVER forget that this is the dumbass that said Craig Biggio isn't a HoF'er because the only reason he got to 3,000 hits is because he played 20 seasons.
