Undersized in height mostly, but Aaron Donald was 6'1" 285lbs coming out of college. I think the shorter guys may have an advantage by getting up under the pads of the linemen.
Man how good would this offense look with Stroud Schultz Collins Tank Rd.1 Thomas WR LSU Rd.2 Fisher RT Notre Dame Rd.3 Irving RB Oregon Rd.4 Theo Johnson TE Penn St. Trade up using a future pick if needed Weapons. No more scoring 3 points in a playoff game.
He's definitely talented, but he's really thinly built, wonder how he would hold up in the NFL. I'll admit I'm gun shy after Kevin Johnson. But he would be elite with Stingley.
I’m with you other than Fisher. I’m an ND fan and can tell you he left a year too early. With Stroud hitting, our window has opened and I think we need a more polished OL if we draft one, and especially if it’s that high. A surprise mid round Domer that could help us a lot is CB Cam Hart. He’s been dominant and a locker room leader. He can be had mid round and could be a great get at that point.
I'll check Hart out further. He looked pretty solid at the Sr. Bowl but didn't really stand out. How does he compare to guys like Love and Pride?
Pride is hot garbage. Love was a true cover CB in college who has reinvented himself as an NFL safety. Hart will remain a CB. In the 2022 season, he was CB1. He got tested a lot and rose to the occasion. This season, he had very little stats…because no one dared to challenge him. Xavier Watts wins the DPOY for us as a safety and part of that was Hart making WRs disappear. He was so off the radar about mid-game stats I’d almost forgotten he hadn’t graduated already. That top 5 pick Marvin Jr? Had 3 catches for 32 yards against NDs CBs. I think he’ll be a solid pro. Not Revis Island by any means, but the guys you hit on in rounds 3-4-5 that lead you to titles because they hit or over perform.
