Have said it since his rookie year. I wonder when we're going to start seeing Sengun annoyed with the fact he constantly has to defer and look constantly for Jalen Green to the detriment of the offense. It happens every game and is even more obvious now after Jalen had a couple of good games and now thinks he's back to being Kobe - just absolutely refusing to pass the ball around the perimeter when he should to Sengun - who is pleading to get the ball to initiate the offense before finally getting visibly frustrated he has to go set yet another useless screen for Jalen (useless because Jalen in year 3 still doesn't know how to utilise them) I wonder if the recent play is a result of this. All I know for sure is that Sengun is going to be over the moon when Jalen is gone. Also - can anyone give me a logical reason why Amen is the first one to come out - and then comes on roughly the same time that Sengun then goes out in the first quarter. It should be Jalen going out first because a) he is playing better than Green, and b) he fits so much better with Sengun and is the only player who gets Sengun an easy assist, and c) it would mean that Green would then come on when Sengun isn't and likely against the bench unit from the other team. That really doesn't seem like rocket science to me Ime.

Thank you. I was rather wondering the info with alpi replacing Jalen green, alpi-fvv, alpi-brooks, alpi-bari on off numbers. There is tons of info here as well. I think Green being the weakest link in the starting line-up is obvious. Rockets would definitely improve most by replacing him, compared to any other starter.
They should have traded him at the all star break for the best they could get for him. He even had a SUPER rare hot streak right before the trade deadline. His value will never be higher. It is time to bench him. He should be next to Boban at the end of the bench when Cam comes back and only get garbage time. He is by far the worst regular player on the team. His value is heading toward zero.
He doesn't deserve the 'distinguished player to be developed' badge for sure. I am pretty sure Cam will be very frustrating if he plays consistent 20+ minutes. We have an abundance of young players and it is impossible to find all of them minutes. At some point, rockets should let someone go, and be invested in the others. As you said maybe the best time was this trade deadline, time will tell, though I suspect we could get back anything useful for him. Not being a good shooter for his position is a red flag and he doesn't have something else, like amen, to compensate for that.
He is always on these type of lists and always the youngest one. And we know the way we use him is still far from ideal. Also he still has a lot of room to improve. It's so obvious that he will take another leap in the next years.
Are we living in the 80s? Ex-squeeze me? Baking powder? 4s are interchangeable with 3s in the NBA today. Holy hell, they are often interchangeable with 2s. "You are what you can defend." The reason Mobley *could* work as a 4, and Zion will definitely NOT (while being a HOF-level offensive talent) is a simple example of how the NBA has changed. Add shooting and floor spacing into the mix and it's likely that neither of these guys will work long-term as forwards. There is no way in hell that Alperen is defending forwards. With Alperen defending at C, we have the 6th best defense in the NBA. (Playing 2 rookies and 4 babies...) Tari/Fred/DB/Bari missing significant time, etc. Let's see 25-year-old Alperen with 4 years of Steven Adams busting his ass in the weight room. The fact is this: You can build a top 5 defensive team with a 21-year-old Alperen Sengun. We have already seen it for 50+ games. What kind of defense can you build with a 25-year-old Alperen Sengun? Conversely, maybe we should get Alperen some god damn help on offense? Jalen Green plays like he is looking for the Frito Pie at an AAU tournament out at HAX, while Jabari Smith plays like the uncoordinated volleyball kid who decided to try out for the basketball team. Don't get me started on Dillon Brooks... My god this offense is dreadful. GIVE ME ANOTHER ANOTHER PLAYER THAT MAKES HIS TEAMMATES BETTER.
Have you ever seen a men’s volleyball game live? It is the most brutal sport ever (without any contact). Pace, flexibility and force they utilize is mind bending, get hit by a shot in the head and you are dead. I highly recommend to anyone go and see a game if possible.
Ergin Ataman tried him at 4 and it was a total disaster.Instead of accepting his mistake, Ataman the HC of Turkish National Team was trying to justify his decision recently quoting Alp's size. A total nonsense. If Bam or Jarret Allen type of undersized players can play at 5, why not Alp? Jarret was supported by Mobley/Markkanen/Kevin type of players when Alp's best companion was Tari at 4. Rockets should move Jabari to 3 for the sake of team&Bari and employ another big for PF position. It is where the team lacks most. At 5 we have Alp,Jeff.Landale,Boban and S.Adams (theoritically) but only Jabari,Tate and injured Tari (even we don't know yet whether he is 3 or 4 yet) at PF position.
I'm in Cali by the beach Bub. I've seen more volleyball than you could possibly fathom. Have you seen volleyball players play basketball? Neooooooomahgod... (Other than Chase Budinger? )
Hey I’ve seen them play at Venice a good 15 years ago, beach volley is nothing like pro volley though (if thats what you mean by ‘by the beach’). I still recommend seeing one if you haven't yet. I will check out that phenomenon if I can, can you name others to look out for?
