I think this is the point I have been getting at - the Bari stans like @YOLO or @AuburnRocket who tell me he's a future all star tell me that he needs to get his number called - IMO tthat's the problem. The reaosn why his number is not called is that he doesn't have all star level abilities to create offense for himself (other than his dribble into midrange game which ususally ends in a shot rather than a pass, he is just not a natural playmaker/passer). Instead he's the type of guy who "needs to get his number called" or "needs more plays run for him" - if he had playmaking skills - he'd run the plays for himself.

I think he's a fine role palyer, maybe even an elite role player. But that's not really an all star level build a team around guy.

There's not a single all star player who isn't an elite offensive creator either for himself, others or usually both - like maybe Anthony Davis is not quite "elite" at this point in his career, but he's much, MUCH better than Smith in terms of scoring and passing and gets to ride the coattails of playing on the Lakers and is an elite DPOY quality defnder.

I've already addressed enough on this. As if any of this changes anything, it doesn't. especially trying to reconfirm yourself with some folks who don't matter to me. especially when you're quoting a jgof who's a fan of bad play, inefficiency, and inconsistency

what he is at 20 won't be what he is at 26-30. difficult concept for many of you though

It's not a difficult concept - my wager offer stands

So - you're declining the wager? This tells me all I need to know about how much you believe he'll be an all star.

Rudy Gobert is, to me, the best role player in the league... with a large gap between him and everyone else. He is not an all star this year.

Ok you accept? If he's not an all star by 2030 you will donate $20 to the charity of my choice, if he is I will do $200 to yours. That is way better than "bet my account" . Those are great odds for you, do you accept?

I don't see Jabari ever making an all defense team, let alone being a 3x DPOY like Gobert. if you're going to be an all star in this day in age without an offensive game, you bascially have to be not good on defense, but "alltime great" on defense.

In order for a screen to be effective, you need guys who know how to set them properly.
    Maybe this is the problem.

We need an assistant coach to teach players how to identify when and where to set screens for whom. This also requires plays to be drawn up for the player that needs to be screened. Now whether or not the coaching staff will ever accomplish that or even decide Bari is worth that sort of offensive focus, who knows?

Jabari still moves like a 1980s robot. Nothing has changed with that
