Interesting about the propaganda from the 67 war. Israel itself doesn't claim the land. If they did then all of a sudden there would be a majority of citizens living there who aren't Jewish and the Jewish homeland would be lost.
Interesting. Some members of Israeli leadership didn't see 67 invasion as a threat but used it as an excuse to seize land for settlements.

"I do not think Nasser wanted war. The two divisions he sent to The Sinai would not have been sufficient to launch an offensive war. He knew it and we knew it." Yitzhak Rabin, Israel's Chief of Staff in 1967, in Le Monde, 2/28/68

Explain your "5 people" comment first.

It's extremely heart breaking - Israel was completely fine staying the hell out of Gaza prior to Oct 7

All the complete idiots chanting cease fire now, don't understand that any ceasefire means a reloading opportunity for Hamas to repeat Oct7 everyday - this with a sh.it ton of Gazan civilian population support likely 75 percent or more, a heck of a lot more than "5 people" (although our local pro-Hamas sympathetic idiotic dimwits @Buck Turgidson and @FranchiseBlade think otherwise)

Gaza instead of building their country for infrastructure and business growth instead chose to build incredible complex war tunnels - instead of an oasis of peace they literally chose Hell. Sometimes you get what you choose unfortunately- but no doubt Israel didn't want this - they didn't want 1200 plus mostly innocent civilians slaughtered in their own homes for NO good reason - this is a tragic situation and there is ONLY one solution - Death to the Hamas

You and ATW have mistaken the meaning of the 5 people remark. That's really all I have to say. I guess we have different ways of communication that doesn't always translate to message board posts. Oh well.

I will add that your poll numbers aren't really reliable. Which is why you see fluctuation all the time with similar polls.

Doubtful. Honestly, your posting style in this thread isn't really one I find valuable to discussion.

I am open to correcting my reaction to the comment if you can explain what you meant.

5 was a purposeful exaggeration which was so beyond realistic that hopefully nobody would take that as a literal belief on my part. However, the videos and images don't show the entirety of the population and it is silly to make blanket statements based on things like that or momentary support polls. A high ranking govt. official's statement carries more weight than polls and images.

We know that prior to Oct. 7th an overwhelming of number of Palestinians were polled and indicated they wanted peaceful co-existence with Israel. Things since then may have changed that sentiment, and it can change again.

    Appreciate your response.

Would you mind pointing me towards these polls which say that an overwhelming number of Palestinians wanted peaceful co-existence with Israel?

    Would be great if true.

Also it should be noted that this is done with many Palestinians not feeling safe to voice opposition to Hamas. It's one of many reasons why no polls are really that accurate.

The Brits in the last days of old style colonialism like the infamous colonialist Lord Balfour of the Balfour Declaration were anti-semitic and wanted to get the Jews to Palestine to keep the out of Britain and to help them keep control of the Mddle East.

Unfortunately for everyone, Israel never stayed out of Gaza. Or the West Bank. They have one goal and that is to rid Palestinians off what land they have remaining.

    @ROXRAN

you don’t put the crips and bloods next to each other and expect peace.
If one side goes into another’s hood what do you think will happen ?

Hamas thought Israel would never go all the way to eliminate them, they were wrong
