The whole idea that other nations should take on Palestinian refugees is absurd. Why should people that have had their homes destroyed, been occupied, been denied the opportunity to earn a living and preserve their culture, family holdings, etc. Be required to abandon their legal and legitimate holdings. Why should any other nation have to aquiesce to this demand and why is refusal to give in to the nation which illegally occupied their lands, destroyed their homes, and passed bigoted laws based on their ethnicity seen as an incrimination of those victims?
You seem happy with your doomscrolling propaganda. I'll leave you to that. Should you ever return to being willing to discuss matters in a more analytical manner, I'll be happy to discuss them. It simply isn't worth it anymore. You've shown that you have no interest in actual discussion and examination of the issues. It isn't worth it for me to put in the effort to try and persuade you that it's worthwhile to apply any kind of preliminary analysis of the media you're consuming. I'm not really interested in that. You chose your path. If it brings you joy, great. But you really are no longer a suitable party for any real discourse on the issues.
Being a fanatical leftist and anti-semite, you conveniently forget that Gaza started a war against Israel, raped, murdered and kidnapped civilians, and had been shooting countless rockets every single day into Israel, and announced that they wanted to murder, rape and abduct Israeli civilians again and again and again. They started a war. They are losing it. All the other bullshit you spout is just that, bullshit.
A lot of words to disguise that you were pretending that "just five people" cheered on the murders committed by your Hamas friends. "Oh, I said something insanely offensive and stupid...it is not worth for me to put in the effort and explain why it is not stupid" - @FranchiseBlade
The issue I have with the initial line is that dismissing a people as a violent culture makes it easier to allow dehumanizing **** to happen to their civilians. I'm not saying you're advocating that, but it's something repeated here and elsewhere about a group being animals and some punishment is well deserved. Then again, I support Israel's efforts to eradicate Hamas because an Eye for an Eye still lives in my violent gut. But the longer this campaign lasts, the harder it will be for Israelis to justify that they're not a violent culture as well.
They need to eliminate the proven and expressly stated ongoing threat to their civilian population. Hamas has stated that they would repeat October 7 again and again and again if they could.
Do you think the constant building of settlements in the West Bank and elsewhere is a good idea? Is it something that makes a longfull peace likely?
I think it makes exactly ZERO difference to the desire of Muslim Arabs to kill Jews. Pointing out the settlements is a "Western logic" way of making this a "both sides" thing. The Muslim Arabs hate the Jews and a lot of the Muslim Arabs want to see Jews murdered, completely regardless of any settlements.
Huh, interesting. So their homes being bulldozed and taken away, this has nothing to do with how they feel about the people who are bulldozing and taking their homes away?
They hated the Jews before, and want to kill them. They started the 1967 war against Israel, and lost. The settlements are built on land they lost in that war. Stop confusing cause and effect.
I get the history, but there's a lot more history than you're acknowledging. How does the "radical jew taking land" part of the equation not count anymore?
Yes it is interesting that @FranchiseBlade thinks only 5 people cheered on atrocities of what happened on Oct 7, - they were completely out of Gaza - no one was bulldozing anything to warrant what they did. You are another idiot but that is nothing new.
It's hard for some to understand this concept - start something, lose and suddenly it's unfair when consequences happen
No, I just don't care for Roxran Gunlover. I thought you and I were having a halfassed decent conversation....then he busted into the middle of it.
Nothing exists in a vacuum. Hamas delaying this while gaza turns into a mile round hamburger grinder will not make Israel a winner even if they managed to root out 80% of Hamas. Hamas already knew what they were getting into when they did what they did on Oct 7...a war so ugly to sabotage any potential peace gained from the Abraham Accords.
