Starting to hate Brooks for being such a bad decision maker. He needs to understand that he doesn't have to attack the rim every time he gets the ball. Sometimes it's crowded man just stop being a spastic for a moment and read the game.

 

I don't care that he smokes pot, but rumor is he was vaping during an interview for the draft, which is why I called him a dumbass, lol

Several posters on this board, @YOLO @AuburnRocket etc - told me I was basically a complete idiot who didn't know anything - when I expressed skepticism of Jabari Smith Jr as a future all star - after a 30 point performance against a putrid Hawks squad that the Rockets lost in December

@YOLO if I am not mistaken you were comparing him to prime Klay Thompson - a movement shooter perimeter player archetype that Smith bears very little resemblance to in style or substance.

Just noting for the record that since that December 20 apex, Jabari Smith Junior is averaging like 12 points a game on low 40s shooting with mid 30s from 3, with about 1 assist 1 block.

I'm sorry but that's not a future all star. That's not a future all star trajectory.

The guy's a role player. Embrace it.

At this point I would offer him a little less than Dillon Brooks, or maybe same value but some of the years are team options, take it or you go to RFA. He hasn't earned being one of the top 3 highest paid players on the team.

 

Looks like teams made too big a deal about it to begin with, dude can play. A lot of NBA players get high before they play.

Yep. He's been playing great the past 10 games or so.
Youngest player in the league and has a TON of traits already shown.
3 level scorer.
Can dribble, shoot and pass.
Once he puts on some weight to handle the inside contact better he may become a monster!
Wanted him soo bad but I never thought he'd pop this good this early!

Makes me feel sad, especially because all our best player candidates have at least 1 SERIOUS flaw in their games.

Let's come back all the way and win this game though.

I always comped him to Robert Horry. But im a lot more conservative with my comps on this board than most poster. I love the presence of Cam but you have people in this board comparing him to DWade and Kawhi Leonard.. smh
