This is the scary part. When the people defending ethnic cleansing give up on making attempts to seem reasonable in their arguments and go into the joke phase knowing there is no longer a moral argument to hide behind. That signals there is no stopping it because it's essentially masks off.
Do you understand that with social media I can find any content to make any group of people seem evil? You can do that with Jews, Muslims, Palestinians, left handed people, trans people, one legged people etc. It doesn't matter. If there exists a subgroup of humans there is enough social media content to make sure the algorithms massage your preconceived bias of hate towards that group. Society will improve when humans realize spamming tweets of anecdotes isn't a way to form arguments.
