Green and Alperen's games do not complement each other, they have been together for 3 years, there is not even chemistry between them, their games represent opposite poles, Green wants to run, Alperen plays slower, there will be no Murray Jokic story. The easy thing here is to form a team around Green. That is the whole point. , Rockets have to make a choice, we will understand the consequences years later

But there is an environment to test this right now, Alperen could not stand up on the bench yesterday, his injury is probably serious, I do not know if he will play for the rest of the season because his waist injury would be very uncomfortable. Maybe udoka alperen will not risk it for the rest of the season and will build the team on the green.

Running is a transition offense. Half court is normally more methodical. Both Green and Sengun have to be able to play in both. Sengun’s responsibility in transition is to get defensive rebounds and make outlet passes. Sengun is not what slows down our offense, FVV is what slows down our transition offense.

I thought something was bothering him past couple or so weeks, beginning of season he just seemed a step or two quicker and explosive on moves

Lately he has been trying to plow over/through defenders and that quick burst/step to blow by his man has been lacking from my lens

Its hard to play with any nagging injury, but the back is a entire diff. level and hopefully its nothing major at all

His back is bothering him from carrying this team this season with FVV pick and rolls. Let him recover and don't play him these next two games. Deserves it.

Back problems usually do not go away in couple of days, will be surprised to see him play

    Knicks annoucers
"Sengun is like a guard, at 6'10 with thick legs. weighs 255. You can't move him in the post. An excellent scorer with vision, can rebound. Has a good chance to win MIP."

Only a handful of people are hating Sengun and none are outside of the Rockets, just a few mentally deficient so-called Rockets fans at this point.

So many people here really seem to dislike Sengun. Is there a reason for it that I'm not aware of? Maybe this much negativity is something common for Clutchfans and I'm just not used to it yet.

People became really invested in Sil@ss' run and gun style with JG leading the break, providing highlights 1 every 4 games and people kept thinking he would be a future superstar during his first 2 seasons while blaming all the losses on the supposed defensive deficiencies of Sengun while also ignoring the matador defense from everyone else in the team. Instead, what happened is that in the third season with disciplined coaching, Sengun emerged as a better player and people were too invested in their previous takes to back out and were doubling down that it wouldn't last. Slowly, over the course of the season Sengun shut up most of the critics (honorable mention: nope) and now only a few idiots are nitpicking aspects of his game while he is just a 21 year old finally being allowed to finally play for the first time in his third season.

They said 6'11" actually and mentioned his pre-basketball swimming activity. Wally is much better than I expected in commentating.

I can see the same kind of hate for Jalen, but he has been playing very underwhelming before the last couple of weeks or so, therefore it's a bit more understandable. For Sengun, it feels like some people root for him to fail. So much nitpicking.

Discussed before. Some named as "Murican elitism", the others recognized as Xenophobia.
I would say lack of basketball literacy.

I think it’s just the fans that they can’t stand and there’s a mix of people who either just project their annoyance on Sengun subconsciously, then there are trolls/haters who just see an easy hit to get clicks and get a rise.

But then there’s legit fans who really like Sengun that just voice criticism that then gets Sengun fans all worked up and they unfairly get railed on.

So I would caution folks to not get worked up about it. Most people who might voice a criticism aren’t “haters”. It’s just frustrating to be a Rockets fans where you see this batch of 6 really interesting and talented young players but every one of them has a flaw that is going to be damn near impossible to overcome. And Sengun is the best of that bunch so far but at the same time that flaw has people wondering if it’s going to hold back greatness in the long run.

It’s sort of like how you don’t want to be the player on the football team who the coach never yells at. That usually means you suck and they’ve given up on you. The real legit Rockets fans see themselves as the football coach who is throwing their clipboard and yelling because their best players are so close to scoring a touchdown but make a bone headed mistake over and over again.

I think you'll find a real high correlation with the people hating Sengun, also being the ones who were most vocal about how Jalen is going to be Kobe when he was drafted.

They really can't handle how bad the player they invested so much emotionally in, has been.

So they need to deflect. Naturally, they're drawn to the team's actual best player who just so happened to be drafter lower in the exact same draft.

I'm okay with criticizing players for their mistakes. But I don't like hating for the sake of hating. Neither for Sengun nor Green. He also gets lots of undeserved flak.

I don't know if it's the injury or fatigue from the career high workload, or some combination, but he's looked abysmal the last few games.

I think the all star break will do him some good.
