Tari was really important as the "hustle" guy cuz he allowed Jabari to stay on the perimeter and provide spacing. Without him Jabari has to be the "hustle" guy getting rebs and second chance opportunities and while that's good we now have Brooks spacing from 3 instead of Bari.
Probably will be out until next season at this point. Lingering pain sounds like things are just not getting better.
I wouldn’t be surprised with this either. He’s approaching the part of the season where there’s no point in playing such a small amount of games for nothing. Only 28 games after the break. Most if not all will still be played on restricted minutes.
Him being absent for almost 2 months just proves that NBA athletes aren't physically superior to any other athletes or even ordinary human beings who work out once a decade. If a soccer player rolls his ankle, falls on his ass he returns to training couple days later at worst. It takes ages for bbers to recover ankle rolls. They are üntermensch.
Soccer players literally roll around on the floor crying for 10 mins if somebody's boot brushes against theirs...
But they do not get injured. They get up and continue running. The average miles run in by a professional player is around 7 miles
Tari has entered the "week away from being a week away" stage of rehab. Congratulations to him and Keith Jones
The Rockets mismanaged Tari's injury. He would be back by now if the Rockets didn't play him early in the season. He even continued to play in the preseason game immediately after receiving the injury.
It was a short, but good career. R.I.P. Tari. Victim of the usual Rocketvirus known to take careers as it progresses from "day-to-day" to "done-for-good".
Yeah someone needs to ask directly what is going on with him it looked minor in preseason, why is it lingering? And what is it? DD
It kind of looks like Kawhi's injury that ended his Spurs career. Maybe he should try his doctors, whatever they are doing here is clearly not working.
If you said 3-5 more wins I'd be with you. He is the highest impact player and he plays 30+ minutes regardless if it's off the bench. Before Cam broke out, he was essentially filling in for any of Green or Jabari that was having a bad night and that was excellent for us because he's very consistent with his impact.
5-7 wins are reasonable since so many of Rox losses were 1-2 possessions. Tari being one more option would have resulted in wins like that recent Raptor loss where Brooks was ******** the bed.
Is his injury the kind that can be surgically repaired or does he need to just rest until it's healed? If it's the former, why the hell didn't they do that in the preseason? And if it's the latter, how long does it take to heal?
