Alperen Sengun is the Rockets' franchise player

I appreciate your enthusiasm however this is most certainly not true. There are multiple posters here that a) do not think hes our best player, b) do not like him, and c) definitely do not love him. They make lots of posts and threads about how the rockets should not build around Sengun because it would be a dead end, he is simply not good enough

 

in DD world, everything is an opinion. There are no facts

 

I think there's only one of those posters . . . everyone else pretty much loves Sengun

 

I can think of 3 off the top of my head

Well, let's talk about those facts then shall we. Which serves as the control group? So you can make an honest assessment of them in equal terms?

Did Alpi ever play with a dominant big, and a dominant wing?

Did Scola ever play in a situation where he was the first option in the NBA?

So, what facts are you wanting to discuss? Keeping in mind that situationally they were both different - the reason I think they are similar is the style of games they play, both excellent on the block and from 18 feet on in....both 6'9" ish....and both average athletes.

I didn't either. There is a reason for that and it is the same reason for Scola. We are not fit for the job. Just like kpj, scola could be putting up the numbers but that team won't be successful.

Also this is the DD alternate reality argument we are all too familiar with:

'Wood would be all star if he played next to Luka'. Nope!

Watched the Rockets back in the 80s with my grandfather although I wasn’t much of a sports fan when I was a kid.

By the way, my grandfather taught freshman English at UH and had Hakeem in his class. He said he was a nice young man but not a very good student.

Actually I said Wood would be better with Luka and that was correct.
