Half a season away. Not sure how that means that's an unserious move since the quality of Adams and the low price you got him wouldn't be possible if he was available this year.
Rox already reached last season win total this year that's not just a baby step. A lot of the poster MOs seem to be "if you forget everything else that happened and just focus on what I say, then Stone sucks and deserves to be fired" Lol
No doubt the team has taken a step forward from being the rancid gutter trash it was the last few seasons. Doesn't mean further steps can't be taken now to address the teams weaknesses, doesn't mean fans can't be irritated at said lack of addressing weaknesses. Sorry but sucking less than last year doesn't do it for me, still hanging around the bottom of the Western Conference.
You may be right. I just don’t think you spend that kind of money on those kinds of vets to not be disappointed when your team can’t finish in the top 10 of 16 teams. The bar is really low, but if you’re bringing in an Udoka and those guys, I’m guessing you’re pretty disappointed when you don’t make the playoffs even after the playoffs have been expanded.
Sure. If the collective angst is originating from a few extra minutes dispersed between Tari/Cam/Amen and the two 2nd rd picks I agree with that take. I would have done that. Based on reports, it sounds like Stone was getting significant push from Ime to go the opposite direction and move assets and picks for players that will see time over our young guys. So, it seems like he may have split the difference and not left his coach with 1 less rotation guy. The big picture for Stone is landing at least 2 young star players, either through growth or trades. That's the only thing that his job hinges on at this point. Beyond that I think he's just keeping his stakeholders happy.
what's you reading on the Steve Adams trade? Strategically speaking would not make more sense to plan for Jabari at the 5 next year? I wouldn't say unserious, but makes you wonder how they see some of the young players long term. There are scenarios were having him could reduce minutes for the kids. I would expect us to try 15-20 minutes a night with Jabari-Tari-Cam-Jalen-Amen for example
I've never seen that quote by him, but it's one of the worst I've ever seen. It's so stupid and obvious. It's more like "you've got to stay cheap to be rich all the time" for Tilly. SMDH. This guy and a lawyer from Seattle are running the team. Rockets are screwed until he sells.
