I think those would be fun moves. If Biyombo can't play better than Landale, you just waive him. Hard to see how we'd lose anything there. And as far as Hayes go, I hate the idea of adding more non-shooters but I have to say I'm at least a little intrigued about adding another good defender who has solid court vision and seeing if he can be maximized in Udoka's defensive minded system. We can easily waive Boban. He's fun, but he's contributing nothing. Not sure who the other guy we'd waive would be. Even Bullock has been useful in pinches here and there.
Only player worse than him in the league is Thanasis. Then again, Thanasis makes anyone look like a god in comparison.
He was waived because he asked to be traded a week ago and they couldn't find value for him. But we've seen other guys who failed for their first team succeed in their second or third stops. And Detroit hasn't been a recipe for success for pretty much anybody lately. I wouldn't sign Hayes to anything above the minimum, and maybe even a 10 day, but I see little risk in taking a look.
Presti is commendable, he could easily go to a big market..... Taking his talents to a small place like this......takes vision.
i’ve watched a ton of DET games… hayes is one of the worst offensive players i’ve seen in this league over the past 45 years
Nobody is funnier than Thanasis, Killian is another serious bust, tragic bust......Thanasis is the throw in for his brother.
Dude has no feel for the hoop.....it is like a gymnast trying to hoop..... How was he the 7th overall pick goes beyond my imagination....
He is better than Jock and would be the 3rd center in the lineup next year. A no Brainer move for vet min or a little bit over vet min IMO. Plus he is a hard nosed veteran would provide the same "culture" duties as Boban but while actually being playable.
You guys make Presti out like he is a god. He is two years further along in the re-build and lucked into SGA, who some of our players may be better than when they mature. He has amassed a lot of assets. Call me when he actually accomplishes signing or trading for a star. FYI, nobody wants to play in Oklahoma City. If they were in Seattle they could build a team for the ages.
Well, we didn't get us a 3PT shooter, so now I really want Reed Sheppard in the draft, and I'd trade up to get him. 52.7 FG% 53.7 3PT%
