Jabari doesn't pass much as soon as he gets the ball. People should know that by now. He will shoot at any angle his body is at. Even when off balance
I mean, their noses are quite similar so maybe? It's like Dorsey and Dwight, you think Dorsey is just Dwight standing further away!
Jalen must not have let it be known in the huddle that he’s getting this next shot, and even after the Jabari brick, Jalen still handed it to Dillon Brooks…
And therein lies the problem. Adams is great for next year...but, meanwhile we are getting our arse handed to us RIGHT NOW.
The good. Amen looked great at pg &That's why you can't trade Green. The Bad. Jabari was hot and they went away from him in the third when you could have used his shooting. Just 4 3pt attempts. Not going to cut it. . Alpi shot 8 freebies. Should have had 6 more FTAs. Few pick and rolls with no Fred. The Ugly. You need 1 trustworthy player that can get you 12 pts a game and control the 2nd unit. It was chaos. Hield wasn't seeing the floor the past 5 games and wouldn't you know it. It had to be against Houston. MCconnell with 17. pssh.
He has flaws, anyone can see that, but him and Jalen were the only reason we had a chance in this game. Far from amazing? He played his best game so far.
He played great but tonight felt reminiscent of last year Silas ball (headless chickens running all over the places). That’s why Jalen thrived tonight since nobody was playing defense and ran 100mph. Sengun cannot defend anyone in that pace and that’s why he didn’t see minutes last year. Today showed me a lot that which players are good at fast pace game and who is not.
People are FINALLY seeing what Ive been saying!! Jalen and Jabari wants to run, FVV slows the game down. Amen wants to RUN, as well. Getting Adams is going to help on the boards and defensive end, which is going to allow them to run more so. Finally, LOVE to hear Ime say they want to run fast on the POST GAME SHOW, as well. Can't wait until next yr!!
And even those minutes Amen struggled in I felt like it was because he had no offensive creators on the floor with him. Amen with Tate and Holiday just makes no sense to me, and Cam unfortunately fell back to earth a little bit this game. I remember reading a post earlier questioning Amen’s functional athleticism and comparing him to early-stage Lonzo, but I’d counter by saying that Amen is one of the most functional athletes I’ve seen! He uses his jumping speed to crash the boards, he uses his agility to pester defenders and he always manages to surprise me with some weird block every time he gets extended minutes. Even on offense, while his lack of a tight handle prevents him from utilizing his speed sometimes, his unorthodox movement style always manages to get him places he has no right to be in. Besides the massive elephant in the room which is his shooting, I literally see NO reason why he won’t be a star in this league. His basketball IQ is really good, too.
He was good. He wasn’t amazing. I guess we have different definitions of amazing. Nothing wrong with being good.
I think the team is close, just not close enough. If Jalen plays like this most nights we'll be fine. We really just need someone to step up and consistently say "I'm the star of this team." It's either going to be Jalen or Sengun at this point since when they are on they score at will...but we really gotta get them working together more. Feels like when one of them is on the other is off.
14 home games, 18 road games remain They ain’t making the playoffs or play-in. Warriors will pass them (edit: already ahead of Houston) Pray for another top 4 pick. Watch for developmental purposes
I guess so. “Far from amazing” and “had some good moments” somehow got me thinking you thought he didn’t play well enough.
There were a few missed pick-and-roll opportunities between them which frustrated me, but the chemistry is there. They need to keep going to it
People keep trying to compare Cam to Green saying he’s better when they’re totally different players and have different roles. He cannot break down defenses like Jalen can. Being a goto guy is a lot harder than getting the ball at the end of a play. Cam also has loose handles and his defense needs a lot of work.
Honestly, with the Pacers' white hot offense I was shocked we held on to the rope for the whole game. You can see we're right there, but just have to push through.
Unfortunately Sengun cannot play fast pace ball and playing fast don’t get you far if you are THE worst three point shooting team. Tonight was clear sign that Alpi and Jalen duo cannot work due to them having completely different type of playing style. We’ve played fast ball for 3 yrs and we all saw where that road leads to. It’s time for Tillman to choose between two because I honestly don’t see them (Alpi & Jalen) working out
