Amen was far from amazing. He was a big reason why they folded to end the third. He made some good plays in the 4th though. He had some encouraging moments for sure.
It’s on the coaches and players - Jalen scored 5 in a row .. and then we called sets for Alpi 4x in a row 2 missed layups that Amen couldn’t put back and 1 TO … just ass backwards
Tate has worn out his welcome with me. He does more fouling than defending and he’s not giving you much on the offensive end. I’ll rather see Samuels play than Tate until Eason gets back.
Same story all season long. This team desperately, Desperately, DESPERATELY needs size and athleticism in the front court. I've lost count of the number of games lost because of it.
IM DISAPPOINTED BUT I CAN SEE THE FUTURE!! OUR IDENTITY IS BEING FORMED. DENFENSE!! Adams Jabari Tari Jalen Amen If we can get some shooters off the bench!
We lost by three points. Amen missed 3 free throws but he was great with his energy and play. His attack on the boards was great
That’s why I gave extra credit, he could’ve folded rest of way but he fought till the end and he was the one lit the fire at the end.
Folks we need to do something. And I got a surprise for you. Jalen has had some bumps for sure BUT, he is not the problem IMO. Oh, sure he's the most likely trade piece along with Tate. But, I STILL maintain that a backup center is a HUGE need...the biggest. Even shooting 65% at halftime, we still allowed a team to hang in due to our DEFENSE. We couldn't stop a poot in the paint. It is game in and game out...DEFENSE,DEFENSE.
Well, you know, he like, we ugh, lost. INB4 "Its kinda like this team cant win when we play thru him.." or something like that.
Not many times in history a team shooting over 60% for the game gets beaten. I loved how they didn't give up. Game wouldn't of been so close if it wasn't for Amens offensive rebounding and put backs. Jalen played really well in the 4th. In the end Indianas shooting was too much. One thing I have been noticing in games, is as good as Cam has been he needs to improve his finishing. He gets blocked too much.
12 points in the 4th and just hit a big three, so why the hell is Jabari launching some nonsense behind the arc and Jalen handing it Dillon Brooks?
When Holiday is brought on for defensive purposes, does Ime think he is still coaching Boston and it is Jrue that he has?
Sorry, Amen was splendid and was flawless. I forgot how sensitive CF is with every new prized possession until they turn on them a year later. To watch that game and say Amen was amazing is admitting you judge him on a different scale.
If Jalen could just hit his threes at a league-average clip, it would do so many things for his game. Tonight the threat of him shooting forced his defenders to either play him too tight or try to trap him—which he navigated surprisingly well into many open middies and relatively unhindered drives to the basket where he was going downhill. I hope he spends this summer working his ass off on his release and form consistency. He doesn’t have to have a textbook shot (example: Tyrese Haliburton) but it has to be the same every time
