Doors are still shut if your team doesn’t have a big market Super Star to draw viewership. I guarantee Wolves and OKC will get no love if they face Lakers or Warriors this off season on first round. League wants big contract for next TV deal and they need viewer ship to show for it so it’s gonna be a big market vs big market for Final
You realize that championship window normally means the team has already been to the Finals.......which is mightily not the case. And the team is an aging one on the way to a rebuild.......

What? We cannot wait until 2 to 3 years! These guys are going to be up for BIG BOY contracts…we can only pay two stars we do not have two or three years….we will need to make a decision soon on some of these players

In 3 years nba will start marketing alternate reality where you are able to purchase a version of league pass in which your team wins the championship.
Championship moments are made in the 3rd and 4th Quarter of the Playoffs. The Rox are still so inconsistent in both of those quarters to actually come close to talking about championships.
I think the Rockets are currently putting down the bricks that will one day become the building that could hold that championship window. A lot can happen between now and then, but I remain hopeful.
Agreed. This team can aim for a top 4 finish next season with some intelligent summer moves. They can aim for a title the season after that. The kids will all still be under 25 years old. We have team control on all their contracts. Stone and Ime need to chill the F out this trade deadline. Ime needs to figure out the offense before demanding we cash in draft picks and prospects. Even if we had good shooters and won some more games, we would be talking about the lack of transition, ball movement, player movement, lobs and corner 3's in this offense. I really think Ime is a basketball guy through and through, he is one of those old school guys who does not understand the value of a draft pick. Unfortunately, I don't know if Stone has the balls to stand up to Ime so who knows what will happen. Tilman and Patrick sure to listen to the toughest guy in the room. Literally the only thing we need to do to be a title contender is to not waste any assets. We don't even need to win trades as much as NOT lose them. The most regrettable trades in NBA history tend to involve sending out too many picks for a marginal or temporary upgrade. People don't realize we are sitting on a gold mine even if 1 or 2 young guys don't pan out. We have picks and cap space coming to us in the future and the core will already be solid. Love the position we're sitting in. Our team is designed much better than all the other young teams.
