Frustration could be about FVV. He holds the ball too much

SGA at same age as Jalen Green (21 years old, in his 2nd season):

SGA in his 3rd season compared to Jalen Green's 3rd season:

SGA in his 4th season (when "nobody knew him" according to this Tweeter) compared to Jalen Green's 3rd season:

SGA always had positive BPM. Jalen never had positive BPM.

I understand why they were signed and Ime can only do what he can with the roster he's provided with. It will be completely different by the trade deadline next year. I'd honestly like to be rid of Stone.

I hope you're right in terms of making a leap but they aren't the same players. Green is basically an athlete while SGA had a more well rounded game

The stats I posted show quite clearly they aren't the same players. I was hoping for a leap, but what I see is regression.

Cool stats. Can you do a comparison with Zach Lavine?

this is why I hate “Rockets Twitter” for the most part and never pay them any mind…they’re always saying dumb sh*t

Nobody even knew SGA’s name until year 5, so have faith in Jalen and he’ll be fine?

SGA got better every single year and was an efficient 24 ppg scorer in his 3rd season. We wish Jalen Green looked anywhere close to a player of his caliber. Jalen looks like this year’s Jordan Poole…

This is their third season at age 21 compared.

Based on their stats, they are more similar players.

The big problem with Jalen is that his FG% and 3-point % is simply very bad for a shooting guard - he is inefficient. Even worse than Zach Lavine.

There's no question he's regressed. I do think he's trying more lately which isn't saying a lot but I guess you take what you can get in this instance

someone like Brandon Miller already looks more promising than Jalen Green because he’s a legitimate shooter and actually has some real skill as a scorer and shot creator

Jalen basically looks like a track star who does a little bit of hooping on the side

Fred play style has changed … he used to only shoot at end of clock and if we needed it in 4th … now he comes out and jacking 2-3 3s in the 1st qtr … and Ime hasn’t talked to him …he’s here to keep turnover down and get Jalen and Alpi going it’s annoying

That's such an odd statement. Just because everyone knows someone's name or not doesn't mean jack. SGA was better to begin with, whether he was Instagram famous or not.

    Year 1
    Green 42.6 FG% 34.3 3PT%
    SGB 47.6 FG% 36.7 3PT%

    Year 3
    Green 41.1 FG% 31.6 3PT%
    SGB 50.8 FG% 41.8 3PT%

Green's shooting percentages were better as a rookie. Sure, he could become great, as we sit around and wait. It does get old though when it's your starting SG. But, be positive, right?

"One day we will make a star out of you kid. That's all that matters for a few years. It's only year 3. Don't worry about your shooting percentages. If someone else is shooting well you need to take more shots. Always try to get the most points. Draw attention to yourself. People can't complain because you're young. They will say you need time to develop. Make yourself look good. Take some cool shots. People love that. You make cool shots sometimes. Don't worry about percentages or losses or playoffs. Be Happy. Have Fun. They will say it takes years to mature, and excuse your shooting because you are a kid, with a kid. They say you're our star, our franchise player, and our Numero Uno! Just think kid, next year you can be demanding big money, because you are gifted! It's business kid. Promote yourself!"

People don’t understand just how much CP3 helped SGA … but they want instant gratification - Jalen worked out with KD and Chet and doesn’t use none of that in game … I would rather he use that bag then catch and shoot 3s which gives him no rhythm

Said it a long, long time ago.

He seems like the exact player who'd pout about a teammate being elevated above him.

We already know he has the lowest of the low basketball IQ - this just flat out confirms it.

Having a sook because he's not allowed to shoot 24 shots every single game. Even though evidence points to that doesn't work and the entire team needs to stop playing just to placate him.

Cut bait from this clown as soon as possible, his attitude is only going to get worse.

I don’t even know why Jalen was wasting time working out with them…their games are nothing similar to his

What about Chet or KD’s game can Jalen actually take away from and use? He should have been working out with a Tyrese Maxey, learning actual off the dribble moves from a James Harden, etc

Lavine was shooting 39% from 3 in his 2nd season.

The only season he played all of those 82 games.

KD and CHet are 7 footers that can rise up for a pull up at any time. Jalen needs IQ for small guards. This coach can fix him

If I could pick one player the trajectory looks most similar to--it's Brad Beal. Came into the league already able to get buckets, but kind of treaded water his first four years before finally starting to put it together to some degree. With the big difference being, Beal could always knock down three pointers and just struggled with efficiency on literally everything else. Jalen can't even do that part right (so far).
