What did it say? Or was it retracted already?

Edit: Just saw the BSPN report. Torn meniscus, terrible injury luck.

Embiid was playing the best ball of his career and had to miss some games for legitimate reasons. Media and fans called him soft for it and now he has a major injury, a stress injury at that. I feel bad for the guy.

At his age and given his injury history, this could seriously threaten his career depending on how bad it is. Sucks for both him and 76ers fans.

What did I say? It's dumb to trade for an old injury prone dude even if he is MVP caliber. Stone would be like "I told you so" if they did somethign so dumb as trade Sengun for Embiid.

Pretty sure Morey will take and Sengun and next year's top 10 pick for Embiid now LMAO.

This is the problem when you get a GM with "win now" mentality like Daryl Morey. Dude doesn't want to wait and get a foundation first second he comes in he is doubling and tripling down and when you don't win immediately your window is closed. He wasted Harden's formative years pairing him with Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon now did the same with Embiid. Good thing they have Maxey as the next star but I guess Morey will trade even more assets for old ass players to paly with Maxey again.

If you run this to a Philly fan, what do you think they'll say.

Availability is the best ability. Embiid will be out of the league soon.

They'll say Sengun fits Maxey's age and is healthy unlike Embiid who is old and always injured. What's the point of being MVP caliber when you out for the season?

Embid hasn't played a game in Denver since 2019. We're talking 5 years ago!!! He very frequently has a reason (valid or not) to not play on the road against a team with a winning record. But I'll be damn if misses a game to score a ton against the Pistons or Wizards. He doesn't often miss those games.

Maybe that's just coincidence. Over a pretty significant sample size, maybe that's just coincidence. Maybe. If all that is legit and valid that's great, but the best ability is availability. If you can't play those games, you're not the MVP. In no sport can you win an MVP award missing a **** ton of games...especially when those games are usually against the opponents you measure yourself against. That doesn't mean I don't think he's a great player. It means I don't think you're the most valuable player when you have never played more than 68 games in any season of your entire career.

Also, if you don't think other players aren't playing hurt, stop it lol

He was getting injured either way, I don't remember the last time he was healthy from start to finish in a season

Everybody should have seen this coming, Steph Curry is the only one I know who had crazy health issues in college then became super durable in the NBa.

As an aside I think Wemby is gonna follow the same trajectory as Embiid, he is gonna be extremely dominant but will also have a short career just like Embiid.

Idk how true that is. With Embiid they’re a fringe title contender, if they trade him for sengun they’re a fringe playoff team and totally irrelevant

At some point these knee injuries will make his decision to Retire because this will effect him walking at a older age.

Joel has been getting injured since his Rookie Year, Foot Surgeries and Knee Surgeries.

You serious? Yeah cuz the NBa is gonna close down after the season is over right? No way 21 yr old Sengun and 23 yr old Maxey can team up and get better for the next decade amirite?

How are Philly a fringe title contender when Embiid just went down with a meniscus tear and will likely require surgery and rehab to fix it?
