I think the time to strike for Yelich is now. “Brewers open too more trade talks after dealing Burnes”. Checks out all the boxes. …LH BAT, SPEED, CF + still has good power and OPS Altuve 2B Yelich CF Alvarez DH Bregman 3B Tucker RF Abreu 1B Diaz C McCormick LF Pena SS everyone in that lineup has 20+ HR potential
I'm sure as hell not picking up Yelich and his 136 million dollars heading into his mid 30's. He hans't hit 20 HR in 4 years, and only plays LF. He's certainly not a bad player, but for what he's owed no f**king way. If Milwaukee were open to eating quite a bit then we could talk...and so would a bunch of other teams.
Yeah Devin Williams is the only player from Milwaukee that could interest Houston. Based on what Milwaukee got for Hader when they traded him, Houston would be looking at something like Whitley, Arrighetti, and Melton. Thats pretty steep but would give Houston one of the best bullpens ever assembled.
RP Id like to see Houston sign to a cheap 1 year deal: Vince Velasquez, Matthew Boyd, Jimmy Nelson, Brad Hand, Jose Cisnero
Any interest in Amir Garrett? Dylan Coleman was campaigning for him the other day. Lefty pitcher. Does he have a big mouth? Maybe it was just the1 incident that I'm thinking of. Seems like he would bring energy to the team(kind of when Neris did during the Julio incident). Would be funny if they brought him in and he beat out Coleman for a spot.
Gotta see the number but I would have loved Maton on a smaller deal. It would be nice to have some proven safety net after the top 3, and he's also proven to be a prime time player in October.
He might be worth a shot but I think there’s been multiple incidents the reflected poorly on his behavior. But the same could have been said about Neris and that worked out fine.
Bellinger, Soler, and Belt are the only bats I think Houston should be interested in. Adalberto Mondesi might make sense on a super cheap deal if Houston wants to replace Kessinger with somebody who can steal bases. Jesse Winker and Austin Meadows would be worth bringing in on a minor league deal.
I forgot he had such a long contract, dudes right Brewers gotta eat a lot which means Astros gotta give up a lot. He’s the perfect add talent wise.
NO WAY I would pay Yelich 130 Million. If we can afford that much it should be funneled towards Altuve/Bregman/Tucker/Framber retention
I'm sure we do, they seem fine and our pitchers have typically pitched to their talent level lately Not saying anything negative about them Just saying that in my opinion, Strom is the best of the best and with a guy who has a live arm like Garret, he would be worth a shot
