Much better defensive player. Needs the ball less on offense. More efficient shooter. Career wise he's about double the BPM and VORP.

Depends whether you prioritize offense or defense.

I see the case for Edwards for him being younger and improving still. Just saying I would have to think about it.

Like choosing Kawhi light or Devin Booker.

Harder to find guys who are locked down defenders and still provide something on offense like elite shooting.

    Agreed 100% haha.

For the record I do really like Mikal and think he's an excellent third best player on a contender.

I know. But I don't understand why you need to state it's an opinion..

Anthony Edwards will be knocking on the door of being a legitimate mvp candidate sooner rather than later. I like Mikal but I don't see this as much of a discussion if choosing between the two. It isn't close. And it's pretty safe to say he'll be looking at his first all nba team this year at only 22.

In big markets, house hold names are more important, I suspect Jalen Green is not a big name yet.

And how are you subscribed to Mark Stein, I am stuck behind a paywall.

Wow that is surprising, but ok.....it is sort of a guy with upside for a proven, and they get picks back, but it is not like Jalen is bad......we are good either way.

Lol. The Nets really wouldnt take Green+2026 FRP and 2025/2027 swaps? This would leave us with a top six pick this year, but settle the debt.

    They are dumb.

We woudn't make anything in the stratosphere of that offer, and there's no world where they don't accept.

I honestly would not even give up Jalen+picks at this point for Bridges.

I wouldn't accept Jalen for Bridges and picks. His ceiling is simply much bigger than Bridges.

It would be insane to trade Green for a 28 year old borderline star.

Issue with Mikal is that he's 27 and not really that much more productive than Green is. Arguably worse offensively. He's just more consistent. But is that worth 2 picks and Green? The answer is no. Rockets are better off with Jalen. A pick and Jalen I'd consider but anything more than that is an overpay. Those Nets picks are worth a shot at both Cameron Boozer and Cooper Flagg.

The Nets currently have 0.000% chance of drafting either of those guys.
