Sengun was 4-11... that's not aggressive enough for our best player to play. If he's more aggressive good things will happen! Getting into a rhythm, draw fouls to sit Jonas and making him expend more energy and opening up more opportunities for others.

Assuming you are talking about Jalen (if not nevermind), if any scoring guard, or any player for that matter would shoot 11/18 or 12/20 from field, that would be looked at as very high efficient shooting night

Green just came from a 30% fg December, if he can continue shooting as this past game for 15 out of 20 game stretches going forward until end of next season, then Stone is inking him to a Barrett type deal, a Vassal deal(spurs) at least

    TBD

Rockets only scored 104/106 the 2 times they beat the Pelicans. So being more officient on offense would help, but the issue for this game was defensive rebounding and defense.

Consistency will come with time, but long term we need to be able to bank on our veterans. Right now FVV is just an awful shooter from 3 and Brooks too often out of control and fouling like a mad man. Need that to change.

Was last night's inconsistency a sign of the trade deadline blues, with the floating rumors that the "core 6" aren't untouchable?

While it's pure conjecture on my part, Jalen Green is playing like someone who has been reassured that he's not going anywhere.

As good as the young Rockets Sengun and Jabari played last game, they were just as horrific this game. When those two guys no show it's essentially gonna be an automatic loss for us. Watching us clank open three after open three was really depressing, it's happened in a lot of games this season.

Play in hopes slipping further and further with each game!

I guess that’s why we sat Amen and gave holiday 17 mins. If amen and cam had played 25 mins we would have a chance, but Ime continues to go to ice cold vets instead of red hot rookies that also are very good rebounders. Why there is ever a FVV, holiday combo is bizarre to me

Jabari has a bad night and you play holiday and FVV a combined 54 mins and sit the only one hitting threes and the only two that were hitting the boards. This loss is on Ime.

Pick and role will not work when Sengun is missing bunny after bunny. He and Jabari both had horrible nights. It happens.

The Rockets had 40 open or wide open threes last night. Teams should win when they get that may open looks behind the arc. I give Sengün a lot of the credit for those open looks.

Sengün had a great game despite missing a couple of shots. Jabari, I love him, but he (and Udoka for playing Jabari when Jabari showed in the 1st 5 minutes that something wasn't right whether it be health, energy, etc) should shoulder most of the blame.

Good to see Jalen's offensive streak continue, even better seeing his energy and engagement on defense.

Unfortunate that Jalen and Cam were the only ones capable of getting a bucket. The late push by the rookies was kinda fun I guess.

Sengun had a tough time slowing down Valanciunas, who looked like a man on a mission, which seemed to feed into his uncharacteristic offensive performance.

Jeff Green, good in spurts but is cooked as a primary backup big. His splits for January are 40/27/84 and a whopping 1.9 rebounds.

Love the intangibles and organization VanVleet brings, but watching him get hunted on switches is painful. Almost as a painful as listening to Antonio Daniels on commentary. Dude is a special combination of annoying voice and obnoxious homer.
