The word you’re looking for is “ethnic cleansing”.

Your own statements above acknowledge that it hasn’t worked out for a lot of displaced peoples. The Irish got their own republic not because the British were nice but because they fought for it including with what were considered terrorism. To this day they still talk about Oliver Cromwell and Trevalyn’s attempt to wipe out Irish Catholics. It was also almost 30 years of violence and terrorism that led to the Good Friday Peace accords and there still is a lot of resentment among them towards the British.

I can tell your first hand to that while the Hmong are doing better it still took decades for them to adapt to the US and even now Hmong aren’t doing as well as other Asians Americans and still have problems.

Your view that people can just move and resettle is a very selective reading of history and as you seem to often do you look at current conditions while ignoring what it took to get there. For example taking your argument you could say that things ended up great for Armenians as most Armenian Americans are doing well financially while ignoring that century ago thousands of them were slaughters and driven off of their land by Turks.

Also if it was just so easy to move and resettle people why isn’t her so much handwringing in this country over the Southern border and talk of invasion?

Why aren’t Syrians being welcomed and just easily resettled into the EU?

Thanks to the intimate partnership with UNWRA, guess who gets first dibs on food and aid.

I used the words I chose. I do not pretend thousands of years of recorded history don't exist and that intractable armed conflicts going on forever are superior to the losers of armed conflicts moving on.
The people it didn't work out for are the ones that hung in the fight too long after the writing was on the wall.
The Hmong are doing better than the median American. That other Asian American groups are doing better than the Hmong in turn doesn't disprove that resettling the Hmong in America was a huge benefit to them. The true comparison would be those who were resettled to those who stayed and fought the Communists. I would argue the Hmong in America are doing much better. You are free to disagree. I also specifically mentioned that it worked in decades.
The Armenians would have done better to resettle and not be slaughtered by the Turks. That is the point. When two sides are fighting over turf, the side that isn't going to win would be better off vacating the turf and moving on somewhere else instead of fighting a hopeless battle and getting slaughtered. The fact that the Armenian-Americans are rich and the people who stayed are dead doesn't disprove my point, it is my point. Looking at "current conditions" is looking at the outcome of the decision.

13 of the UNWRA staffers were directly involved in the massacre of Jews on Oct 7th. Trump cut funding to these bastards when he was in office and of course, the current dipshit in the WhiteHouse reversed course and flooded them with money again so they can carry on with their mission.
