Wait, you mean that getting their own picks back isn't guaranteed to get us every player we want? That's not what y'all told me, I thought it was a dead cert?!

Bridges is a nice player, kind of a "super" role player if you will, miscast as a lead guy on a bad team. He's a top 50-60 player in the NBA.

I personally don't think he's worth trading the Nets picks for. Maybe one and a swap, maybe. But I don't think he significantly raises the ceiling on this team long-term. He's in his prime and isn't going to get any better. He would help us win a handful more games over a season, sure.

Honestly, you dudes making a thing of a "Sengun fanatics" deluge that didn't occur far outnumber such posters who simply realize his value.

Bridges is one of the most complete players in the game.

There's about a 70% chance a top 4 pick does nothing close to Bridges.

You probably get 1 Bridges level player out of 4 picks.

Look at the top 4 from 2016-2020:

    Ben Simmons
    Brandon Ingram
    Jaylen Brown
    Dragen Bender
    Markelle Fultz
    Lonzo Ball
    Jayson Tatum
    Josh Jackson
    Deandre Ayton
    Marvin Bagley
    Luka Doncic
    Jaren Jackson
    Zion Williamson
    Ja Morant
    RJ Barrett
    DeAndre Hunter
    Anthony Edwards
    James Wiseman
    Lamelo Ball
    Patrick Williams

Out of those 20 players if you offered me either Bridges or them straight up, these are the only ones I take:

    Brown, Tatum, Luka

I would have to think about Edwards, Lamelo, and Morant.

    Let's say it's all 6... that's only 30% hit rate.

Nets have one valuable asset to rebuild their struggling franchise in Bridges. Their draft picks aren’t a viable option, since even the years they have their pick, they would have to yield it to the Rockets if it’s better.

I honestly don’t blame the Nets play of trying to eek out maximum value out of their assets. Because they don’t have the promise of a high draft pick if they have a bad season. There is no reinforcement coming.

That was literally a joke dude, hence the insane hyperbole. I'm a Sengun fan, don't worry.

Also, look at the insane overreaction post to said joke above this one. The prodding is more than warranted.

Has to do with higher ts%, more win shares/48, better box +/-, and about double the vorp.

He's more of a winning basketball player. Edwards is more about stats...

Like saying you want Rudy Gay over Shane Battier...

just glancing Edwards has more win shares/48 than bridges. also interesting 14 of the top 28 players or 50% are centers. I guess that shows you how good SGA and Haliburton are both being in the top 5.

Bridges is nice. But he is not a franchise player.

And he's a wing, not a ball handling-playmaking guard. We already have a logjam of wings. Who is he going to replace in our lineups? The only young prospect we are willing to part with is Jalen. Are will going to play Bridges in the backcourt? Maybe.

What we need is a star who can score and playmake at a high level to replace Jalen Green and cut down FVV's minutes. If we are not getting that, I'd rather keep Jalen and hope he improves.

Personally I'm taking those 6 as well Zion, JJJ and Ingram over him.
