Georgia starts investigation into Trump's election interference

Thing is, none of whatever Fani Willis' trips or extracurricular activities take away from Trump's guilt, and he should be prosecuted, obviously.

No. Willis could have a conflict of interest because circumstances may come where she has to choose between her secret boyfriend and the interests of the people of Georgia. Likewise for Wade. If Wade saw Willis do something unethical, would he rat out his lover for Georgia's sake? If Wade was screwing up, would Willis have the courage to fire him? Conflict of interest doesn't mean he's a double agent. It means their personal interests might fall out of alignment with the interest of the State of Georgia.

It's pretty amazing that she thinks she can hire him for such a high-profile case and keep their relationship a secret. At least be transparent about it.

 

At this point it is probably better that Willis step down and hand over the case to another prosecutor. That doesn’t change the evidence of the case. It’s already on tape that Trump
Pressured the Secretary of State to try to find him votes and that others supporting Trump
tried to reverse the GA results.

Willis needs to step aside. In a case as a high profile as this with so many politic implications it needs to be handled both strictly and with the highest level of professionalism. The DA office is already being attacked and there is no reason to give more ammunition to those criticizing it.

 

last week she said that they were only going after the special prosecutor because he is black...now she admits to the affair.
