That Cam scoring burst was some of the most electrifying Rockets basketball I can remember. He played with such force last night I think the Lakers were legitimately afraid.

Guys legitimately get out of his way when he's barreling downhill. Dude reminds me of a Goron in the Zelda videogames.

He's one of the most explosive rookies i've ever watched. That being said if his knee thing is serious he probably shouldn't always dunk the ball.

Yep. Even LeBron was getting out rather than challenging him.

You have to imagine that Cam would be ripping up college basketball and vying to be the top pick in the draft.

Everyone gets out of everyone's way in todays NBA. Having to note that LeBron let someone have a free layup is hilarious. Guys been playing no defense the past decade or more(selectively) and the league followed his lead. He and Silver ruined the NBA.

its just politics. they need something to give portland fans happy about. Cam hasn't played as many minutes. he'll be there next year as a sophomore.

I would've traded all his points for him getting that one dunk on LeBron where LeBron had that "oh hell, let me get out of here" look on his face

It has something to do with the culture of "posterizing" or "facial" being glorified to the point that, the other side of the coin is the shaming of being posterized. The real shame should be ducking out of the way rather than trying to challenge a shot.

Anyone that uses a Zelda reference deserves a like!
Props to you sir! (or madam)
LoZ rules! Greatest franchise ever. (Super Mario #2)

    Agreed, he deserves it.
I know he wasn't getting pt here early but he's the #6 rookie scorer in only 16.4 minutes a game!
You GOTTA get that guy in the RS game!

I’m assuming he hasn’t played enough minutes through the first half of the season? That’s the only rationale I can think of.

If Silver calls and you declined to help him make money twice because you’re above it, he’s going to remember that. That’s how he will see it from his perspective.

Sometimes it’s better to know how to play the politics. Of course when it came time to pick between Cason Wallace and Cam, they should pick Cam but I think Silver is a very vengeful commissioner.

A dunk contest is a chill night, I don’t really like that he ditched it. Get out there and win it with our jersey on, make some fans, make some kids happy. You won’t be tired, you won’t get injured, you will have fun. Who cares if he doesn’t work on his game for 1 day in a week long break?

Anyway, too bad. He would’ve shredded both competitions up.
