Hollins said Sengun shoots the three better when he does hesitate. Anyone keep track like they did with braided hair Jalen and no braids Jalen?

He might be better when he doesn’t hesitate but that is not the main issue. He is not a good 3 pt shooter anyway. He is shooting midrange with either one hand push shots or the dirk/flamingo shot. Both are non traditional and both work. His 3pt is a regular and he is not a natural at it and not good. Perhaps some issue with his balance. He talked about it with jj. I think he needs an off season to fix it and he doesn’t know the fix yet.

Maybe he should try a hook shot from the 3pt line. Sky hook on steroids. We can call it Metaverse Hook.

Interesting quote from Turkish National Team Coach about Alpi. I think @Clutch and couple other guys would love it, coming from a professional coach who is also on Alpi's corner.

Ergin Ataman, who has coached Şengün on the Turkish national team for the last two years, previously coached against him and Beşiktaş while leading rival BSL team Anadolu Efes.

Ataman said that although Şengün was a prolific low-post scorer in one-on-one situations in the BSL, he sometimes struggled to score against traps inside and to defend quicker power forwards on pick-and-pops common in European basketball. But Ataman said Şengün vastly improved his footwork, ball handling and power in the NBA over the last two years, which has enabled him to be a more effective power forward for the national team.

“When he signed in the NBA, our question was that he’s not a big guy, not very tall, so our question was how he can manage against the taller players, because mostly he plays under the basket,” Ataman said. “But I think with his ability to play both positions, face-to-face and also on the low post, this summer he improved his game, because he’s also a very good ball handler for a power forward. I think he has also a chance to improve other things like his 3-point shot, which if he can make more consistent, he will be really very good. Because Alperen is not a very athletic player like Giannis (Antetokounmpo), like Kevin Durant, but he has very good body control, very good ball handling, very good post-up game and great passing for his size player.”

He just dropped 31 12 7 in a win, we are happy. Meanwhile you have to wait another 20-30 games before he struggles again so can trash him. Actually who are we kidding, it’s an every game job. Talk about exhausting.

I honestly do think it must be exhausting for folks to keep finding and posting Sengun-related tweets and the like. It's a full-time job and then some.

Finding positive things to post about our favorite players and team is never exhausting but a joy. Being a Debbie Downer on the other hand seems far more exhausting, but to each his own.

Doesn't take much time at all.

Go on Twitter, enter search term Sengun, see if there is an interesting Tweet that might make true Rockets fans happy, copy/paste it.

The kid has been breaking records and seems like a good character, what's the harm in posting positive stuff?

Less exhausting than ridiculing those who do.

All I'm asking is, why pick out the few bad (defensive) games and only post those, but not ones like this?

On average, over the whole season, he has the best defensive rating, the highest defensive win shares on Stathead...
