To be fair, Cam Whitmore is a guy who was a consensus top 7 talent that we somehow got late. It's a little bit different from your average late first rounder who never amounts to anything.
Well, Sengün and Tari were found late in the teens. I do not think it is the late pick that never amounts to anything but the team or the scouts that pick the players. Basically you have to scout very well and have luck.And you have to truly anticipate what kind of player you want ......
Rockets ain't going to the playoffs this year so record doesn't matter over development. He can take his licks like any other rookie selected late first round.
It is a little infuriating that he's probably got less natural athleticism than either Amen or Jalen, but he's figured out that his athleticism (which is still way up there, but the other 2 are all-world level athleticism) is all he needs to jump over people a la Westbrook. If Amen and Jalen both figure that out then a lot of their finishing woes will shrink. If Ja can go over people, Jalen and especially Amen can with ease at their height.

Either Rafael Stone is Building Up the Trade Asset in JaeSean Tate during the Trade Deadline. Hopefully Fans and the Media puts pressure on Ime Udoka to play Cam Whitmore and Nate Williams. The Rotation is Stephen Silas Bad, especially Below Average Players getting Bench Minutes.
Cluchfans logic: Bullock is trash. He has never played well in 8 games as a Rocket. Play Cam more. Top five pick by many many accounts and summer league MVP. We don’t always agree, but you know what you’re talking about on this one and have been correct many times before (like on Silas) even if people kid about it.
Unfortunately Tate, Green, Bullock minutes will eventually go to Tari when he gets back and not to Cam.
