He picked Austin Reaves pocket one time and made it look routine.

I don’t know what led up to that exchange but Jabari and Sengun last year had a couple moments of discomfort with how Green treated them.

So I don’t know if it is that Green plays too much or if Amen just is awkward.

I’m not overly worried about it but if I had to predict who would win - I would go with the guy with like a 7’0” wingspan and looks like the dead Michael Jackson in The Thriller video.

It wasn’t a good game for Amen. He still defended really well and hit the boards and assists well - but he turned it over too much and didn’t score.

I like Amen quite a bit.

I like the pace he is being brought along. Once the game slows down for him i think he will be pretty dangerous.

Until then, his 16mpg avg is perfect imo.

Maybe that is his Austin Reaves combo guard approach.....

I think it has slowed down for him…he’s gotta work on those skills right now ball handling and shooting needs to be his entire summer.

Hard to swallow pill for every only fans, if your guy can't shoot his role will always be limited. His basketball iq is there he creates for others, dishes to others but nobody does for him because they don't trust him to make that shot. He is not give him the ball and get out the way guy. Amen's role on this team will always be limited.

This twitter account you keep posting loves to trash talk Amen. What a strange fan account that you probably run

A twitter comment on that post said it perfectly... Jalen Green is the Dwight Howard of the locker room. Jalen probably was playing a little too much there with Amen who isn't really with all that

I can see your point but the counterpoint to that is playing vs bad competition makes people look good. Look at Jalen Green, Kuminga and Scoot. Hell even Amen and Ausar themselves. If you look at Scoot in the GLeague vs his early rookie days it was night and day right, you didn't really see all the skills he showed in GLeague.

Looked more like he just asked Amen to get off the seat so he can sit beside Jabari, and then Jalen was trying to apologize and say he was just playing when Amen got pissed. Also another X user said they hugged it out afterwards so it's not a big deal I guess.

Eh, I thought Jalen humping JC or Dwight squeezing that other dudes dick as "joke" were a lot weirder lol.

He will never be a catch and shoot guy even if he gets a lot better, that's not his role. He will be initiating the offense and will get his opportunities to score through those actions and in transition.

As it turns out Dwight was a ball squeezer and came out of the closet. (Isaiah Canaan Balls)

I think we have not seen the last of those bi secksual dudes.

He is a rookie - it isn't written in stone that he will never be able to shoot. Also, he only needs to be "okay" as a shooter, and he can take shots inside the arc and still be a star.

Agreed - if he ultimately shoots the same as right now, he will be a role player.... but it isn't unique to shooting..... if you cannot defend, you will be limited... a point guard that cannot protect the ball will be limited.... a big that cannot rebound will be limited.... etc.

Also - if Amen improves his shot to even marginal, there is a real chance he becomes a give him the ball and get out of the way guy, because the ability to hit open shots will open up the lane for him, where he already shooting an elite percentage, and that opens up passing lanes.... and that doesn't even take into account how he would be in transition.

It will take improvement from him - his handle needs to tighten some and he needs to hit more mid range and ideally some long range shots.... but most young players need to improve in areas. Even Cam Whitmore, if he does not improve his passing focus and tunnel vision, will be limited because they will double him or limit him in the half court set. The difference is that everyone assumes that he will improve his tunnel vision and passing with time and growth - and he likely will, no one had worse tunnel vision than Zach LeVine and he even became acceptable as a passer and playmaker. However as soon as the topic becomes shooting, because it is something fans can understand and is obvious; the attitude is all doom and gloom. The truth is though that most players that are really talented do improve their shooting over time - and even some of those that do not can have long and in some cases, Hall of Fame careers (Westbrook/Strickland).

Simmons was a multi time all star before his work ethic and injuries caught up with him so I don't get where all these "forever roleplayer" accusations are coming from tbh.
