All our players don't need to be the same age.....we need guys to teach our young guys and we need height, adding more 19 year olds that will sit is a waste of a pick. DD
That is a losing strategy overall. When has that happened? Or the percentages of that happening? Not very often. We have our core, we should augment it now. DD
that's why we got oladipo, landale, and tate for with some seconds. The whole point of doing some minor trade is to just try and get to the play in and get some experience for our young guys and lower the pick we give to OKC. that's all. What the hell is the point of trading first round picks only to barely make the playoffs and then lose in the first round. There is no point.
At some point you have to separate the chaff from the wheat because you really cannot find minutes for everyone..... Those who benefitted from injuries of the player in front of them, once everyone is back, new challenges. Unless the Rockets convince Silver to play 60 minutes per game instead of 48.....
Those are strong words (at least to an extent the Rockets have had less draft picks than many other teams) and exciting.
Cam as a 19-year old sat for 2 months. I don't think he was a waste of a pick. I'm guessing the Rockets will make a trade by next trade deadline. I'm not sure there will be as much depth after that to get in the way of getting a rookie some time.
Woohoo. He's shooting better than Harden right now!!!! Harden is 43.3 FG% and 38.4 3PT% in his last 11 games.
Then you have to wait 4 years for them to be a full fledged player and you waste the prime of the ones we have. I am all about bringing in talent now with our picks and competing for spots with our young guys......and when they are good enough to start flip the older guys for younger guys. DD
says who? Whitmore is playing as a rookie. So did sam cassell, so did robert horry, it didnt take them four years
Guys like Horry and Cassell weren't 19 years old 'one and dones' - you can't compare rookies from the 90s to rookies of today - completely different ballgame.
who says the rookies we draft have to be 19? Cam whitmore is young and if the lakers didnt **** up hed definatlely get playing time with them.
Horry was 22 and Cassel was 24. 3 to 5(FIVE) years are almost another half a lifetime for young adults.
