Either party can redistrict however they want. But I certainly wouldn't count on Hispanics to have a massive difference between either party to commit this type of idiocy. I believe we will start seeing a divide between authoritarian/statist candidates vs populist, not so much republican/democrats.

Its obvious you can send some dumbass cops to do some stupid things and they will follow through. However if you try to pit a service member or a vet against each other, its not going to work out like many people think. If anyone thinks they are going to stop the national guard, they better convince law officers or Janet Reno and Bob Ricks FBI.
Nobody is going to send any guards and direct them to use force, not for this border issue (completely blown out of proportion, IMO). All of this tough i'm-HERE-to-FIGHT talk is nothing but for particular susceptible audiences. The bigger issue here isn't the border dispute; it's the non-compliance with a court order. I know they want to skirmish through legality until the case is heard, but the general notion of just ignoring the USSC by elected officials is now already a thing. That's not going to be good long term. As MAGA has devolved into morally bankrupt behaviors (you can argue whether it's an effect or cause, but it has definitely magnified it), this has the potential for mass insubordinate behavior toward legal court orders, which only lead to bad things (erosion of rule of law, social conflict, democracy itself...)
