Starters - Active 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Bench - Active 1. 2. 3. 4. 40 man Adds - Inactive 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. My theory is that we should have a six man rotation throughout the regular season. I think we accidentally hit upon this in 2022 and should have stuck with it. SP - Active 1. JV 2. Framber 3. Cristian 4. Brown 5. Urquidy 6. McCullers RP - Active 1. Josh 2. Ryan 3. Bryan 4. 5. 6. 7. 40 man Adds - Inactive 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Just filling out the format. Specifics to be added.
Hey MB! Maybe 5th and 6th in the rotation can be 2 from Mccullers Garcia and Urquidy. JP France, Arrighetti, Bielak n Gordon maybe hold down the fort till Mc and Garcia heal! That might be favorable.
I think that's right. He was derided in Boston for his use of Pedro in the Aaron "****ing" Boone game as well. I actually thought he was a good manager.
Same here... but he was better with instructing young players than managing egos of veterans. He coached up the likes of Bruntlett to be a serviceable utility player.
The idea that McKeon had was to help save Jimy's job by naming him as an all star coach. It backfired.
Yes - he was booed and that did play a part in him getting fired. When he took the job, he said that he would do the job as long as everyone understood that he would do very little with the media. That ended up biting him in the rear, as a lot of fans believed it made him seem above the fans and a jerk. I will mostly remember him as being a VERY good teacher, and that was really what he enjoyed doing. People that knew him generally liked him. He also was almost named the Braves manager or Bobby Cox - WFIW I think he would have done well in Atlanta. He spent his whole life in baseball... I always appreciate those guys, maybe the best defensive teacher for infielders since Pee Wee Reese.
Fully agree But the general consensus on CF that Framber was awful last year is just so far from the truth
Agree with everything you say But guys with his personality end up as way better coaches than managers. A manager on a successful team absolutely has to be able to massage egos and keep the clubhouse working That’s why AJ was so good here.
Look at his splits from first half and 2nd half last year. The numbers he supported are carried by an amazing first half of the season. Let's put it this was, if we had the 2022 valdez against the rangers, we would have been in the world series. Something happened in the 2nd half going into playoffs that made him not him anymore.
