FVV lost this game. He was awful all night. He needs to never play for more than 30 mins. I get that Ime wants to bring his rookies along slowly, but Amen playing 15 mins last night was ridiculous given how poorly FVV was playing. In 15 minutes Amen had 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and two blocks. If FVV isn’t hitting his threes at a decent clip, he is a negative on the court and has become a ball stopper.
Agreed that is the one he should’ve challenged or the other foul on FVV when he had all ball chopping down.
Dunno. Coaches leave guys in for diff reasons. FVV still gives defense and puts pressure on defenses with his drives to the paint as well as long range threat. Sometimes you ride with players especially vets. I get why Udoka did it. But Fred wasn’t the only issue. It’s a team game and there were several defensive lapses. I believe Amen missed an assignment up top leaving a wide open 3 pt shot which got Udoka heated.
In general, I agree, but Amen makes one mistake on defense, was an absolute spark plug in the comeback, and gets to sit for almost the rest of the game. FVV was off this game and should’ve been benched. It’s not unusual for a coach err on the side of vets, but vets need to be held accountable as well. FVV has been playing good less than 50 percent of the time recently, and should see his minutes cut. It might also help him play better.
I really want to see fvv’s minutes cut by ten and jalens cut by ten. Ideally we will sign a sg and move Jalen to the bench with Amen and Cam and hopefully Tari in the near future. I think they will wreak havoc on other bench units and progress as players. They are all fast pace players and FVV stunts their growth. That to me gives the us the best of both worlds: a chance at the playoffs and better development of our two rookies and Jalen.
Sorry to inform you but I’m a Rockets fan, I cheer for and critique all our players .. I don’t have a set agenda against or for any of our players. Long as a player on our team I will root for that players improvement .. some of yall (YOU) love to live in negativity and bringing down how nice this forum used to be.
Congrats. Doesn’t matter if they wear a rockets jersey or not. Nobody is above criticism. A real fan understands that. You’re just what’s called a homer and JGOF. There’s no such thing as oh I have to overlook flaws and bad play and only praise. This set agenda is a gimmick. He’s been terrible all year and in his 3rd year is a huge red flag. A real rockets fan would also understand that and want what makes the rockets better. He does not do that. Even a 19 year rook coming in is legitimately threatening his minutes in year 1. And he’s even did it before the halfway point of the season
You’re not a real fan, you just like (Cam) like a child with a new toy… even if he replaced Green then you would start complaining about him….and so on and so on… I live in a realistic world and understand the Rockets are exceeding expectations already this season.
You’re nobody to tell anyone who is a fan or not you live in the homer world and player only fan world. A world full of gimmicks and bootlicking that can’t accept reality. Yeah people would complain JG was a bust as 2 pick and got replaced by a 19 year old rook so easily. It didn’t even make it through a full season to legitimately have a valid case to take his minutes. Its pathetic. You’re just butthurt about it. But but it I’m a rockets fan. Miss me with that bs
Thanks for proving it. Ain’t nobody trying to hear you anyway. You’re the one who came crying first. Boohooo don’t talk about JG like that. Do me the favor please. I love it
So the last 2 minute report says they should have called jump ball instead of a foul. Thanks for confirming the obvious, assholes. But they also claim that this was an incorrect no call, and that a foul should have been called on Thompson! They always have to make up something to act like their mistakes cancel each other out. I love referees and everything they stand for
