Pretty sure this guy is a crypto sengun fan doing psyops. Just like the fake Jalen stan a few weeks ago.
Yes, let’s roll with FVV and Brooks + a rim protector, should be a great recipe for the playoffs and the future. How can you not understand we have to develop our young talent to even have a chance at being a contender in a few years?
Strong perimeter defenders are more conducive to winning basketball than rim deterrents. It's why Milwaukee looks way worse with Lillard instead of Holliday with two of the best rim deterrents in the league. We suck because Tari/Jabari are out and Jalen is a headless chicken.
I think the OP is a sub-account of yours. Because he's attacking the only consistent shooter on the team with the stupidest arguments possible. Or maybe he is a sub-account or hlmbasketball. I'm not sure.
This is what I understand, Alperen or any other player, these players are young, you need to give them time, if they fail then trade will be discussed, let's trade Alperen because he is not a rim protector, he does not work in the playoffs, okay Maybe this is true but only in theory, a I think he deserves the chance, he has worked hard throughout the season, now you can't take him away like garbage, that's what I'm angry about, otherwise, liking or disliking Alperen is also a choice, no problem.
I'm pleased to see that our community has reached a tentative consensus on the contentious debates surrounding Sengun, whose recent performances have rendered him irrelevant. This is evidenced by the fact that his defensive lapses resulted in him being benched for an entire quarter, during which our team mounted an impressive comeback. The discussion surrounding Sengun is nearing a conclusion, which will allow our members to return to the camaraderie they enjoyed before becoming divided. We are very close to achieving this goal, and I am very pleased to have played a role in the progress that we have made today.
not OP using his alt account to respond in this thread…such weirdo behavior u even quoted your alt account on the 1st page
Rim protectors are not going to stop the other team hitting a barrage of threes while you can't even hit 28%. Just give me a healthy Jab and Eason plus Tyus. This team would be 10 games better.
Did you see how many times Claxton went for the dunk on Sengun? What could our perimeter defense do about that?
We all sure know Alpi is a finished product at the age of 21 playing the hardest position in basketball. The best move for our future is trading him, our only hope at possible all star production, for a Biyombo type to pair with FVV and Brooks for a deep playoff push. You sound delusional, my friend.
2 dunks and a lay up. oh no, 6 points. If you could have found a way to get Sengun involved early he counters that with 18 points just on Claxton.
A little patience is key here. The young core is still growing and learning. They have the potential to be great. Each has there own deficiencies that could be overcome through development. Sengun may never be a “Rim protector”, but collectively (with the effort required) they have shown they can defend as a unit. Adding a new player to the mix to provide added defense down low will help, but not at the expense of trading Sengun - one of the bright spots this season.
Jabari will hopefully be that long athletic weak side blocker that helps sengun with the more vertically-inclined opponents. Not that Jabari has been some kind of allstar this season, but we really miss the versatility that he and Tari bring on both sides of the ball.
Who cares? You don’t trade a potential star, because “only fans” are feuding. It’s a ridiculous argument. Sengun is not the problem with our defense, our perimeter defense has been abhorrent for the last twenty games or so. Jabari is on his way to being the rim protector you wish for. He is going to put on ten pounds of muscle each year. Patience is the key not panic selling.
