Ime doesn't know when he should use his challenges. He is just terrible at it. All normal as a sophomore head coach.
It is divisive and I admit that I have a stance concerning his 3pt shooting, defense and rebounding. I can't speak for others but I love the Rockets, ALL Rockets. But we have to be able to speak on our players shirt comings and what we see, without it being viewed as an attack. I have stated some of the same things about Jalen Green and I do not get the same backlash, only Sengun. No player is perfect but to be viewed or looked upon as a FRANCHISE PLAYER you have to be able to effect the game on both ends of the court. Especially at the center position, where you are the last line of the defense.
Its SO weird being down 28 and yet feeling like we were kinda robbed... The FT disparity The jump ball called a foul The "shooter jumping into the defender" calls (at least 3 against us on obvious intentional offensive player moves) Don't get me wrong, we had a crap first half, and really f'd around too much in the final few minutes.... plus Sengun's missed FT, all the chances were there. It just somehow still seemed so winnable after being in a place where most teams would call it a night. Argh.
It’s one of the more difficult decision to made. Roughly a 25% that you win the challenge and a jump ball. Roughly a 75% that you lose the challenge (with no TO left) or the jump ball (must foul with even less time left).

He likely wanted to save it for that last timeout after the FT. Dunno. That play was a no brainer. There was an earlier FVV foul that he could have challenged but decided not to. I believe that was a 3 pt play when Thomas leaned in.
