French Bol Bol got more votes than Sabonis and Sengun because the NBA is trying so hard to make him the face of the league and broadcast his every second game on national TV, right?

 

I'd say if he had a competent SG next to him this comment would be obsolete.

This isn't on Sengun, like at all.

 

Other teams that have franchise players or even superstars constantly look for a second or even a third star. Fanbases do nothing but discuss about how their star players need help.

Embiid got Harden, Doncic first got Porzingis, then Irving, Suns went after Durant and Booker, Wolves traded their future for Gobert because KAT and Ant needed help, Bucks traded for Dame, Pacers got Siakam etc. The list goes on and on, that's how and why superteams are built.

And now Alpi who is not only 21 years old but actually plays his first season where he regularly gets starter minutes is supposed to lead a roster, that is still missing key parts to the playoffs?

And even if we manage to get to the playoffs I am sure certain people will blame Alpi for the inevitable first round exit without giving him credit for getting us to the playoffs in the first place.

 

He should make the allstar but he won't.

He should not consider himself equal to Jalen Green. Even if Jalen plays 30 bad matches and finally plays 1 good match, the fans will still love him, but he does not have the credit for playing bad matches, he did not play badly yesterday either, but he should not think that his place is still guaranteed.
