Here’s a wild one. Josh Hart is unhappy with his role with the Knicks. He’s being used as a 4 and he’s thinks he’s a guard.

plays great D. One of the best rebounding guards I’ve seen. Excellent passer. Shot 37% from 3 last year.

Tate and Uncle Jeff for Josh Hart.

That would be on par with the Harden trade. Only problem is Jackson is a known commodity and already running that team. They would probably expect 3 FRP's for him.

There is only one. Hartenstein is a free agent after the season before Williams will set foot on the court again.

Have 3+ years of both Landale and Williams makes less sense.

    Why would they want Jalen?

He's nowhere close to Morant or Bane.

Lol I guess Jae'Sean has been very happy playing in multiple positions and used very differently......

That trade would be the equivalent of let's say Alpe Sengün (plus salary fillers like Landale) for Ziaire Williams, Derrick Rose (the corpse), Brandon Clarke (or Steven Adams), 2nd Round picks....

Or Jabari for half of those players.

If they want, they throw in VInce Williams Jr. or David Roddy.

Fans are fans for a reason.....95% of fans made trades are lopsided.

So there are all these rumblings going on that De'Aaron Fox is pissed off and unhappy with the Kings. Hasn't spoken to the media in almost 3 weeks. I think in terms of this season, they're not trading him even if he wants out.

But that's one example of why we shouldn't be too hasty with offloading the Brooklyn picks--who knows what could happen, maybe the Kings get bounced in the first round and he demands a trade.

    Sometimes patience is rewarded.

Have to wonder if the Rockets would be on his list of preferred destinations .... and what the ultimate price would be.

Fox & FVV would be an awful small back court pairing.

If it was in the offseason or next year's trade deadline, I would imagine FVV would be in the deal as an expiring contract.

Deni is an interesting option. Doesn't feel like the kind of player they'd want to trade, seems like he would be more a part of the new core, but who knows?

Positionally, could you play him and Dillon together on offense, with Deni functioning more as the 2 and Dillon as the 3? Then they reverse roles on defense? Deni is a good ballhandler and passer, but too slow to defend 2 guards.

He could be a good long-term acquisition, in any case--for a potential future lineup of Amen--Cam--Deni--Jabari--Alpi with Tari as 6th man. That is one helluva tall, good passing-playmaking lineup, with lots of shooting around Amen & Alpi.

•The Suns now seem to be generally looking at various rotation-level players, ranging from Jae’Sean Tate to Royce O’Neale, sources said, to Bridges and Charlotte teammate Nick Richards.

•In addition to the Knicks and Lakers, league personnel believe Brogdon has another team with legitimate interest in his services: Houston, which has plenty of former Boston staffers who overlapped with Brogdon during his season with the Celtics. Head coach Ime Udoka’s Rockets are also one of the teams that is considering a move for injured Portland big man Robert Williams, sources said.

Sun's interest in Tate seems credible. Was hearing that for a few weeks now. They want better defenders

But do they have any good tradable good things to offer?

After Beal and KD trades, most of their stuff are gone. They are a buyer's team with not many disposable assets.

I know some fans want Tate gone, but little point in getting bad 2nd round picks.

Houston In: Malcolm Brodgon, Robert Williams
Houston Out: Jalen Green, JaSean Tate, 2024 BKN 2RP, Oladipo/Landale (expiring salary matches)

Portland In: Jalen Green, JaSean Tate, 2024 BKN 2RP, Oladipo/Landale (expiring salary matches)
Portland Out: Malcolm Brodgon, Robert Williams

In addition to adding Jalen Green to their young core, Portland also gets a high 2RP (currently #37) and a cost-controlled rotation piece that can either fit seamlessly into a role player spot or who they can flip for more assets. Even if Jalen isn't an exact positional need at the moment, you are buying him on the low side of his valuation and Portland is in talent acquisition mode right now. Oladipo and Landale are just expirings added to make the salaries work (Landale NG contract after this season)

    Scoot/Jalen Green
    Simons/Sharpe
    Thybulle/Camara
    Grant/Tate/Walker
    Ayton/Reath

Due to hitting on 5 other first rounders the past 3 years and the bevy of quality BKN picks coming in the pipe, HOU can afford trade Jalen Green for win now pieces. Brogdon and Bob fit both of HOU's immediate winning needs while not handicapping their future cap space or asset cabinet. Also allows the 2024 BKN pick to potentially have room in the Rockets rotation as well.

    FVV/Amen
Brogdon/Holiday (2024 BKN 1RP pick hopefully replaces Holiday in the rotation)
    Brooks/Whitmore
    Jabari/Tari
Sengun/Jeff Green (Bob Williams for '24-'25)

but aren’t folks concerned about his health? This guy had a torn knee ligament and a history of other health problems. Portland is selling because they don’t trust he’ll be the same player. I’m very skeptical of adding Time Lord. Availability is an underrated quality in the NBA.
