Those Larry Bird hands homie... They only gave him credit for 1 steal tonight, but I'm not so sure he didn't have more.
"terrible defender" Was satisfying whilst looking at the posts about Jalen from 2021, seeing myself and some others commenting about how good a defender Sengun actually is way back then. Some people just see the defensive side of the ball more than others - or at least know what to watch. Unfortunately for this franchise, those higher up and on previous coaching staffs didn't know a single thing about that side of the court.
Why do they always keep taking steals away from Sengun? Only slightly complaining since I have him on my Fantasy team
They took steals away last night, and also at least two blocks. They were in the boxscore and then they were gone again. Very weird.
It all looks good, and it is good, but it only matters if it translates into wins. You have got to impact winning. And Alperen hasn't been able to do that.
uhh newsflash Roosh, they fed Sengun the last 2 mins of the game outside of one possession off a timeout that got Uncle Jeff a wide open look. Anyone know if he's on CF's? I'd tag him if so but initial reaction is he isn't. This tweet is silly. They didn't lose bc they stopped giving him the ball like this tweet portrays. They led by 4 points with 13 seconds left in the game. If you can't close out a game due to the inability to get stops in that time frame well you deserve to lose. You can also chalk some of it up to a lucky off balance backboard 3 from Grant. up 2 possessions with 13 seconds left is not on this claim the rockets stopped feeding Sengun. It's on the failure to close it out and get the stops necessary to do so
ALP NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO LEAD FROM THE FRONT...THAT MEANS HE NEEDS TO HAVE BETTER DEFENSIVE!!!!!!! AND OFFENSIVE EFFORT. IF HE LEARNS TO PLAY LIKE A DOG, OTHERS WILL FOLLOW. IT DOESNT MATTER IF HE IS GIFTED ON ONE SIDE OF THE GAME VERSUS LIMITED ON THE OTHER END. IF HE IS SHOWING UP EVERY GAME AND GIVING 110% EFFORT, THATS ALL IT MATTERS....LAST NIGHT THE WHOLE TEAM WAS SHITTY BUT EXPECTATIONS FOR SENGUN ARE HIGHER
You can clearly build around Sengun. We need to upgrade the three-point, shooting from the shooting guard spot to help with additional spacing, and I think there is a lot of room for the offensive coaching to be more creative with using him from the elbow.
Say what? The first year we use him in our offense and we already have almost as many wins as we did all of last year. How is he not impacting winning? He's not turning worst team in league to title contenders by himself. If anyone on the team could just make wide open 3 pointers we have a lot more wins.
