    Chris Haynes:
At this point, the Bucks are zeroing in on Doc Rivers to replace Griffin, sources say. Rivers is currently serving as a color commentator for ESPN.

Milwaukee has also formulated a short list of candidates that includes Jeff Van Gundy and Nate McMillan, sources say.

Rivers, though, may ultimately have the edge due to his experience coaching stars.

The plan for the Bucks is to act quickly on hiring the next head coach, sources say.

Because over time, Griffin lost the locker room, and the front office believed a drastic change was necessary.

If they wanted defense, they should go after Kelvin Sampson. Hell, Kelvin has barely-out-of-high-school kids playing better defense than gazillionaire NBAers.

The NBA is so whack. Kelvin ain't leavin' for that mess.

Doc Rivers? I can't wait to see the Bucks go up 3-1 in the playoffs.

Bucks made a mistake. Adrian Griffin was in over his head and had lost the players. Better to make a move now and at least give yourself a chance in the playoffs.

When Terry Stotts left, it was obvious there was a problem.

This move isn't just about their poor defense.

I'm not saying Doc Rivers is the answer, but let's see. The guy just won't go away.

I have that read too, but something else stinks in Milwaukee. Remember this weird event from a few months ago? They blamed Griffin for Stotts leaving suddenly, but I've never been sure that's the whole story.

Giannis is simply challenging himself further by trying to win with Doc Rivers.

there had better be something wild that went down behind the scenes or else this is outlandish, indefensible, and totally unacceptable

My theory is he's an NBA plant tasked with sabotaging strong teams to make way for preferred teams.

Was it outlandish, indefensible and unacceptable a few years ago when the Cavs fired David Blatt when they had the best record in the NBA (30-11)? They ended up winning the championship that year.

Agreed. I mean if they somehow made a trade for Erik Spoelstra by trading away 7 unprotected future FRPs, then I guess this makes sense, but just firing Griffin, to hire Doc ****ing Rivers who never wins **** (besides that one Celtics season) but instead has teams that habitually choke series away.

Giannis wanted him gone. He'd lost the locker room.
