Read somewhere that Saquan thinks highly of the Texans direction.. Not really sure how I feel about him.. Injury prone and probably will overpay but he's a bull and seems to fit Stroud's skillset..

I’m fine with ppl saying they don’t want to spend big money on an RB.. but can we please lay off the “injury prone” label??

    Since 2018 - #games played:
    16
    13
    2
    13
    16
    14

And that (2) followed by the (13) was from the same injury (started 3 games late the year after leaving in week 3). He has missed 6 games in 4 years aside from the 1 big injury. I’ll take that.

Not quite as big of a Barkley fan as others.

An older video, but Barkley is a huge "Boom or Bust" runner, and loves to take risky reads to break off big gains instead of taking the 5 yards in front of him. The Texans don't need a home run hitter at RB, they just need a guy that can turn 2nd and 8s into 2nd and 5s on a regular basis.

This year, Barkley put up the worst Y/C numbers since the year he returned from a torn ACL (2021), and the worst success % since his rookie year, when the Giants had a bottom 3 rush-blocking O-line and the corpse of Eli Manning.

Hopefully they don’t spend on a RB.

    Christian McCaffrey
    Isiah Pacheco
Gus Edwards? Justice Hill? [swapping in/out washed backs Melvin Gordon/Dalvin Cook]
    Jahmyr Gibbs/David Montgomery

Obviously they need to improve their running game but is that going out and spending $10M+ on a RB?

    Devin Singletary(incumbent/FA)
    Derrick Henry
    Saquon Barkley
    Josh Jacobs
    Austin Ekeler
    D’Andre Swift
    Tony Pollard
    Antonio Gibson
    AJ Dillon
    Gus Edwards
    Kareem Hunt
    Clyde Edwards-Helaire
    Rashaad Penny
    D’Onta Foreman

    Braelon Allen
    Bucky Irving
    Jonathon Brooks
    Will Shipley
    Blake Corum
    MarShawn Lloyd
    Ray Davis
    Trey Benson
    Audric Estime
    Jaylen Wright
    Dillon Johnson

I say no to spending money on him when his ave yards per carry was lower than Singletary this year. Spend it on Chris Jones, or a defensive fit we can afford to upgrade our pass rush defense.

Since 2020, CMC has missed more games than Saquon

Out of this list give me Pollard. (Unrealistic) or Gipson and Irving if Benson/Allen are off the board. Thunder/Lightening. This gives Stroud play makers and is easy doable.

I thought that the 1st three games Green played before he hurt his shoulder and played the rest of the season with one arm went as expected. Guy wasn't bad. My biggest question is can he be the swing OT?

Yep, by 2. But CMC is miles better performance wise. Different tier of backs

People pushing injury prone too hard is the topic

CMC is also injured frequently. Just more quality when he’s there

    Nice work Apollo

I'm big on Patrick Queen joining the Texans. Demeco will make him a household name.

I don't mind replacing Fant and Rankings as well.

Kinda want us to keep Fairbairn, Nelson, Dalton Shultz, Greenard

713 Houston Sports (with Ruben Calvio) did a You Tube video pushing:
    P Queen (4 yrs/ $18.13M avg/ $72.5M per PFF)
    Josh Jacobs [RB Raiders ] (3 yrs/ $11.5M avg/ $34.5M per PFF)

[Curtis Samuels...I might pass] I like Bryan Thomas Jr but I feel he gets picked
slightly before our pick. I can see Tez Walker being selected.
Was not great with YAC but with Nico and Tank.....Walker could
end up looking like a bull in a china shop in intermediate routes.

I would try going Ladd McConkey in the 2nd round.

    Nico/Tank/ McConkey/Tez would be unstoppable

Bucky Irving with Jacobs could be a potent 1, 2 combo at RB.

    Thanks for your effort.

I dont necessarily agree with this.

CMC looked a lot like Barkley did in Carolina.

Barkley having an ACL in his past makes me a no. But there's certainly a case to be made for giving Stroud a weapon like Barkley. wanna see Stroud light it up next season, give him Barkley and draft Paul to be the RT in rd 1. Then use rd 2 and 3 picks to trade into the bottom of rd 1 and pick Legette. Do this and I can guarantee you they will score more than 3 points in a playoff game.

Spend the rest of your FA money on fixing the defense with guys like Al Shaair, best S available and bring back Greenard/Rankins/Tart/Barnett. There's enough money to do this.

Barkley is the closest thing to CMC that currently exists in the NFL.

I like Barkley, but he’s not in CMC class. That’s doesn’t mean he’s not really close

Imagine if they signed Barkley and drafted Thomas or Legette.

    Weapons.

    Who is Barkley?

What about Pollard he would also be a great fit and has a lot less wear and tear on his body.
