Upon satisfactory completion of court-ordered program, his record can be expunged. However, NBA punishment is a different story. The CBA says very clearly that a plea deal confirms violation of the DV Policy “Notwithstanding the foregoing, an admission to, or conviction for, any offense that involves conduct that violates this Policy, whether after trial or upon a plea of guilty, as well as any plea of no contest or nolo contendere, will conclusively establish a violation of this Policy.” Appendix F — CBA
And not forgetting that Silver would take all time in the world for the verdict.... Reducing his NBA shelflife is an effective weapon.
I wonder how long NBA will wait to mention a punishment. I'm assuming they aren't in a hurry since he isn't even signed to a team. I'm not sure if KPJ will even play in the NBA again considering all the issues. Not as if he is a 1 time offender. By the way, looking forward to DD gloating and the BBS going back and forth with him.
LOL ... did his ex-girlfriend lie? Why would KPJ plead guilty to 3rd degree assault, if by her own account in interviews, he never assaulted her?? "Lucy, you have some splaining to do" Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
They say there's no two people on Earth exactly the same. No two faces. No two sets of fingerprints. But do they know that for sure? Because they would have to get everybody together in one huge space and obviously that’s not possible, even with computers. And not only that, they’d have to get all the people who've ever lived, not just the ones now. So they got no proof. They got nothing. KPJ may have been a nutjob who beats up his girlfriend but who’s to say there isn’t another KPJ just like him, or will be? Maybe not with the same fears and paranoia but the same. What I’m saying is
I am so happy to know that our beloved Leslie Alexander contributed a portion of his fortune to Mr. Thabeet's beautiful life.
My nickname for him back in the day was Thabust. There was someone on the forum that hated me on repeatedly for calling him that.
I hope Jazz, the Warriors, or the Lakers give him a chance to redeem himself so the Rockets can increase their chances of making the play-in.
