Trump is already laying the same groundwork that he did before the 2020 election. Yesterday, in NH, he said the only way he would lose the 2024 election is if Dems cheated. It’s the same statement he made before the 2020 election.
“We are an institute in a powerful death penalty” - Trump yesterday in NH. He also challenged Haley to a dementia test. Sounds like he’s had a few lately.
This country is fukked. I don’t think Trump and Biden combined are good enough mentally to where they will be at in 4 1/2 years. Whichever party wins will get what they deserve and will get decimated for the next 10 years for putting one of these retirement home presidents in the whitehouse.
Yet somehow biden has passed more legislation than any other president in modern history....maybe we should start evaluating presidents on performance instead of bs metrics.. Biden has passed more bipartisan legislation than any president since regan. Obama had all the personalities but was one of the worst presidents in history on policy. Let's grade presidents on accomplishments and not personality.
Trump has a cult. No idea what would happen if he was to die in office, or be incapacitated. My assumption is Game of Thrones style chaos and vying for the throne. Biden has a professional ADMINISTRATION that I trust to make hard, and group decisions. Maybe they make some mistakes collectively on occasion, but they are still making many important professional and thoughtful decisions in many different areas of government daily. Biden goes down, and I feel strongly that we'll be okay. ..... I typically enjoy your posts Pele, but I really don't understand the bothsidesism on this one.
Trumps advisors recommended that he send us military to voting centers to seize voting machines bcz he didn't want the governors to certify the voting tallys... but yes both sides are bad!!! Braindead commentary
Probably, unless Biden wins by a significant margin and the Republicans finally distance themselves from the MAGA brand, we are likely in for a long haul of fukkery. I'm not expecting Biden to win by a landslide; he might not even win. As for mental stability, Spoiler https://www.theravive.com/therapedia/narcissistic-personality-disorder-dsm--5-301.81-(f60.81) I would argue that Trump hasn't been mentally sound for at least eight years. He exhibits egomania, a mental disorder. Whether dementia is setting in or not, with the experience he has gained and the revenge he seeks, it could be a breaking point or a moment where the United States barely holds together as we know it today. @dobro1229 already made the point about professionalism in government, which I fully agree with. I'll just add that, as Trump's first term has shown, even with a pretty clueless head of state, the US government is fairly self-functional if you don't gut it or fill the cabinet with individuals who know next to nothing about actual governance. Trump has indicated he will do both - gut the executive institution and replace it with all yes-men. In one case, perhaps there is a chance of a 10-year decimation (very doubtful, but either way, we'll survive). In the other case, it's could just decimated completely (and the US is no longer a functional democracy).
Don't forget project 2025 where trump will fire 25k federal employees and hire only workers who will be fully loyal to Trump. He also plans to gut the fbi/CIA and install local cops which will do what he tells them. It's truly amazing were still doing this low iq braindead "both sides" bs. This country is doomed
Trump has long promised a 'beautiful' wall. Now he's pledging 'the greatest dome ever.' After breezing through his usual lines about wanting to build a border wall and to “drill baby, drill” for oil, former President Donald Trump has been adding a new refrain to his speeches — a promise to build something like Israel’s Iron Dome, but better and over the entire U.S. The continental U.S. is 450 times bigger than Israel, and it is threatened by intercontinental ballistic missiles fired from places like Russia or China, not short-range ones from neighbors. Those are a completely different kind of threat that the Iron Dome isn’t designed for. Israel’s Iron Dome’s is designed to intercept projectiles fired from no more than 43 miles away, according to a 2023 Congressional Research Service report. Each battery is designed to defend a maximum area of about 60 square miles, a little less than the size of Washington, D.C. That’s perfect for Israel, a small country, which is worried about missiles being fired from the nearby Gaza Strip or West Bank. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/20...ll-now-pledging-greatest-dome-ever-rcna135154
Patriots These are all policy issues.i don't hate Trump cuz of his personal policies. It's fine to be a republican and/or believe in low taxes. What's not okay is firing your attorney General cuz he refuses to back your claim that the election was stolen. What's not okay is firing your cyber security director cuz he didn't find voter fraud. I just don't grasp how people glance over what happened post election in 2020. Trump did everything in his power to overturn the election and we still have folks "both siding" We're so dumb seriously
Everyone keeps asking why Trump's voters think he's electable when he's proven to be the single biggest Democratic motivator in the country. It's because his voters are so stuck in his cult that they genuinely believe he won in 2020. They don't understand that Trump dragged the GOP down in 2018 and 2022, too.
"Reality" doesnt include your entire cabinet telling you that you lost the election but you still believe your cult leader. No matter how loud you scream or yell every single one of Trumps cabinet members said there was no election fraud in 2020. Even after trumps homeland security chief told him there was no election fraud he still wanted to send us militia to voting centers to seize voting machines https://www.businessinsider.com/tru...ractors-seize-voting-machines-la-times-2022-6 My entire beef with Trump is what happened post election. I actually think alot of Trumps policies were actually better than obama. Whats not okay is wanting to send us militia to voting centers cuz you lose an election. Frauds
Trump won't change. He'll just get worse. He wants a loyalists army of brown shirts in charge of every facet of law and power to fire, remove from power non loyalists. He'd love to arrest and imprison Anti-Trumpers, political rivals, or anyone else who dared to question his criminal acts, and investigate or prosecute him. He will be focused on that with a vengeance. Would he go as far as having his brown shirts start persecuting, imprisoning, or killing anyone he decides is Communist, Fascist, Marxist, or Anti-Trump? It wouldn't surprise me if he became as bad as Kim Jong Un or Putin and changed the laws of this country and Democracy as we know it.
None of it would have happened without the massive mail in voting, I am not saying the election was stolen via mail in voting. I am also not claiming there was fraud. I am claiming there was a distrust to it and things did not go smoothly on election night. So how did we get to not trusting the mail in voting? Well, aside from the fact that it had never been used on the scale that it was and that election night was a disaster. Mainstream media is probably the main reason why people did not trust anything the liberal news media said. There was a certain connotation to liberal media "news", pushed by Trump in 2016 for unreliable fake news. Was Trump lying? Not really, liberal media took insane liberties in always painting a picture instead of providing information. In fact, mainstream media is probably the number one reason why MAGA even exists. When you take a group of people who feel like their beliefs and concerns are being condemned and under minded by politicians and mainstream media you get MAGA. Start treating conservatives like normal people with different beliefs and Trump loses his power, start telling conservatives they are deplorables and racist and Trump grows in popularity. Look, Trump has this in the bag. I highly doubt he doesn't win 2024 and I think you know that too. Won't admit it but you know.
