They need to trade him for another young prospect. He is holding this team back with his average defense and terrible shooting percentage. Cam needs to start and trade for Malcolm Brodgon
Unless he's viciously attacking the rim every time he gets the ball he's pretty much useless in fact on second thought he's also harmful not just useless since he can't defend. We have a shooting guard whose entire value comes from his speed. This is not sustainable basketball because 1) His handles are bad so when he dribbles with the ball they snatch the ball from him on his way to the basket, 2) Since he's not physically strong enough the smallest bump ****s his balance up and he can't finish in the air. 3) Since he has one speed he can't slow down and when the ball leaves his hand, according to physics, will have Jalen's speed which is not ideal so it will not go in. In one possession Cam attacked the rim and Olynyk met him under the rim but Cam finger rolled the ball and got the foul because he is strong he can take the contact. Jalen would've missed that layup. He can make his layup only when he finds an open corridor which is rare. If i want my shooting guard to be a layup merchant i would at least want him to be physically imposing like Zion. He really doesn't have anything that would seperate him from other guards.
Haha. Yeah, he's been so utterly disgusting, his goalposts have gone from being the next Kobe, to now 'he's not as bad as Hasheem Thabeet' and the tiniest thing - like not turning the ball over when bringing it up the court - is honestly such a positive for Jalen it needs to be applauded and brought to everyone's attention... That really hammers home just how bad he is at basketball.
Trade Jalen deadline countdown clock: 18 days [UPDATED] 17 days It will be years before I’m able to get over the front office blowing a #2 pick. I know it happens, but I never thought it would happen to us.
Starting to sound like a kids Mom. My boy is a good boy. My boy's problems are someone elses fault. Dont blame my boy.
The worst thing happening to Jalen Green's trade value is the rest of NBA fans are catching on to how bad he's been. Now all the non-Rockets message boards and social media meme accounts are highlighting Jalen's poor play. It's getting ugly out here.
The bag of chips is laughing out loud now. Who would want someone like that when you can get a low first round pick or 2nd round pick that can potentially be a more solid player.....
I honestly can say I am shocked at how bad he looks right now. I think he needs a full season under this coaching staff to see if he will somehow turn the corner on his game. But right now it’s hard to watch.
Said it not too long ago. The Rockets are walking a mighty fine line between trying to preserve what minimal value he has left, and falling off the cliff where the PoTeNtIaL nonsense is scoffed at by every other team in the league because they've repeatedly seen for multiple seasons just how incapable he is of improving his game. As each game passes, that cliff gets closer and closer.
Here are some 25-and-under guards coming off the bench for various teams, ranked by three point percentage. On the theory that giving up a bench piece for an upside change-of-scenery play like Jalen might be worth it to some teams. Rookie first-round-picks excluded (they're probably untouchable). Players on teams under .500 are marked in bold: Lonnie Walker - 47.5% on 4.9 attempts Aaron Nesmith - 46.5% on 4.5 attempts Isaiah Joe - 42.5% on 5.0 attempts Gary Trent Jr - 41.5% on 5.6 attempts Malik Monk - 39.2% on 6.5 attempts Ayo Dosunmu - 37.5% on 2.9 attempts Quentin Grimes - 37.1% on 4.7 attempts De'Anthony Melton - 36.3% on 5.8 attempts See anybody you like?
Gary Trent and Lonnie Walker might be two names that are on teams who might blow things up. Toronto more so than Brooklyn.
