Could y'all imagine what this team would look like right now if we had been able to draft Wembanyama instead of Amen?

    F#CK!!!

    1. Character is as important as physical talent to become a great basketball player. Simmons wastes his talent because of the kind of person he is.

    2. If we are comparing Simmons and Amen from the basketball perspective, Simmons has the advantage of size that makes him capable of defending 3-5. He is a bit too slow for quick guards but is fast enough to be switchable. Amen is much faster but smaller. He can comfortably defend 1-3, maybe 4 if he bulks up.

The thing is, although both guys are bad shooters, Amen at least is not afraid to try.

Simmons is probably just one of the anxiety riddled mental illness type of players.

And he is probably a sissy .....

but there are tons of pedestrian players like the Morris twins that do not have that problem and are still just role players.

The problem with fans has been and they will never learn, they think Athleticism=Star potential and we know now that is not the case.......when will you learn.

To me he is a worse shooter and a worse ball handler than advertised......
And people thought he was the most athletic guy since the All time greats but yet he refused to dunk emphatically....

Maybe he is a late bloomer but from the first glimpse he is no Luka, no Simmons at least, Simmons was electric his first 2-3 non injury years.....

You forgot Simmons was actually a young Lebron in his first 2 years without a shot.....I witnessed it and he was pretty good back then.

One thing I am sure Amen would not be like Simmons is he would not go after IG models and other gals.....surely he will date but not like Simmons was addicted to it.

Simmons was probably very vain in his spare time and it became a big distraction.

Meh. Wemby is going to be good if he stays healthy but he isn't efficient enough to make a big impact on winning yet. I don't know if he moves the needle for us this season.

I think it's pretty close to scientific fact that, in the case of identical twins, the "IT" factor is divided equally among them when the egg divides, ceiling them out at Role Player.

    Nurture vs Nature.....

Nature = Detroit has the Playing Time but they have to right the ship and acquire shooters to complement Ausar.

But there is a reason Brook Lopez was the best Twin for a very long time.... and no twin came near or close.

Lopez could do everything....maybe not everything to an elite level but everything very well.

Simmons said it himself that he wanted to be in socialite circles. All he wants is to be rich and famous. Amen is a serious basketball player.

Lol yeah I do not trust AAU players and OTE players now....unless they prove it, it is unprecedented for OTE (rather new program)

It is already successful that those Twins were picked so high.....

I trust in Ime Udoka though to form Amen into a good player....

The best NBA twins ever was when Hersey Hawkins and Johnny Dawkins formed the " 'Kins Twins " backcourt for late 80's/early 90s Philadelphia 76ers.

I'll fight anybody who argues otherwise

True fact - if the Phoenix Suns had acquired Johan Petro in the mid 00s

They could have fielded the PetroNash Towers lineup

Who's on my profile picture? I'm very well aware. We're probably gonna need a couple guys at that level to win it all so I'm hopeful Amen can be the other guy.

Amen showed tonight when given the minutes seemingly identical production of early season Asaur

    15 points, 14 boards, 5 assists, and 1 steal, 5/10 shooting, 2 turnovers in 31 minutes.

0/2 from 3 and IIRC no made shots outside of the paints from a guard/wing, will continue to be the key issue for both twins.

For what it’s worth, Amen now has a higher PER, ws/48 and BPM than Ausar now, that’s not just this last game it’s on the season.

Make no mistake, we got the "better" twin. (not saying Ausar won't have a good career) Amen will average triple doubles in this League, while being a monster defender.
