ClutchFans Game Thread: Celtics @ Rockets 1/21/2024

From an ugly first half to hope to a super ugly finish. Oh well, I think the team gave a decent try with Fred, Jeff, and Tari out. The team needs to rethink the Jalen Green experiment, the guy can't shoot 3s or make layups for the guy who is supposed to be the lead scorer.

 

Another night shooting 28% from 3 as a team.

Amen was super impressive tonight. Dude is huge.

Btw just realized Jabari and FVV are both out, basically our 2 top shooters lol. Yeah we got no chance this game.

 

we lost this game tonight when Udoka wasted his coach's challenge

 

I’m gonna criticize our guys for a sec. I wish Jalen would be in attack mode the whole game—and I hope he finds his threes. I wish Cam played like Cam. I wish Alpi turned it over less and Amen could shoot.

But ultimately, I’m proud of the fight we showed and we really do have a ton of talent on this team.

We’re still in growing pains mode, but we’re definitely growing. I love our team

 

Jalen thinks he is Kobe when he’s Von Wafer.

 

Just trade Jalen for any young-ish bench shooter who knows his role at this point

Well, yeah. I mean that’s kind of been considered the ceiling for this team since the offseason. Still a major improvement from last year.

 

Maybe it's embarrassing for the fans but not the Rox who only lost by single digits to the best team in the L and missing 3 key guys.

 

B2B road game against the best team in the NBA , A bunch of kids minus Jabari, FVV, and Tari....Sengun coming back from a slow start with the triple double...Amen shows the tip of the iceberg. Kid's going to grow into an absolute beast. We showed a lot tonight.

Did you check out the stats of the other guys? 1/4, 0/2, 0/2, 1/6. Who else was gonna shoot it?

Holiday was 2/5 but he didn't get a lot of PT.
