If he gets paid this off-season by Stone, he will immediately be one of the worst contracts in the league.
What is Jalen's trade value? According to his stans it's unfathomable--because how can we possibly give up on a young, potential-laden prospect when he's not even 21 yet? According to his haters his value is probably two twizzlers twizzles and a copy machine. And maybe a second round pick thrown in for fun. According to the realists and clever thinkers--well, it's all over the place because opinions, just like buttholes, are nuanced...and most people have one. As for me, I'd rather not give up on him yet, I see things I like and things I hate about his game. I love his untroublesome personality and willingness to learn--though the effectiveness of his learning is......debatable? I want the Rockets to win a championship with homegrown players like we did in the past. I want Jalen to figure it out and be good on the Rockets. That's all
I guess you would wait a little while because I already said it decades ago........a championship has to be in the making for at least 15 or 20 years..... it starts with a visionary owner down to the janitor. Heat Culture........Spurs Culture....etc. I would put the Rockets in a group with the Sixers, Chicago .... Decent market but not winning it all (Philly has the better players and Morey) Times have changed and nobody is winning only with homegrown players......there is too much competiton and middle of the pack teams for that. Not impossible but like 1-2% of it ever happening and I am not going for that.
You make great points! I’ll disagree with just one small thing, might be an unpopular opinion but I feel like Morey is pretty overrated as a GM now, and while he’s probably above average, his genius has been overblown and he seems like a huge a$$hole now that I can see him without my Rockets-tinted glasses
I've chosen late first, but I'm not sure if that's still viable. Jalen's performance is troubling; he's still making rookie mistakes even though he's in his third year, which is difficult to accept. His diehard fans claim his problems are all in his head, but they're overlooking his lack of teamwork. No matter how much he scores, the way he plays just doesn't mesh with the rest of the team. Not a winner, imo.
This is false since we blow out opponents when Jalen plays amazing. The problem is he is playing and shooting bad.
Saw this vid clip and it's pretty sad. But both Jalen and Cade are still young they still have time to grow up. Jaime JJ is 23 and 2 yrs older than them so improvements are Def still possible no matter what the haters in CF say.
Houston vs Jazz or Spurs are the most disappointing rivalries to Houston fans Nobody gives a **** about the Pistons
I feel Jalen is worth keeping if we can sign him to a cheap contract and play him off the bench as our 6th man. Whatever we get back in return for him won't be the difference between us becoming championship contenders so why bother?
I do not think he is an arsehole, he is a good dad to his daughter, he is just not that loyal that we thought he would be and he had major issues with Fertitta....made the mistake to comment on HK, which is understandable but you should not tweet with your company's twitter ....that is not your private one... I would call him calculated and ruthless, yes...sociopathic even not in the murderer sense though when not with his family. I did not want to be in Houston and lied to us with the line - I am taking time off with family.....and signs with Philly. I always go with rankings, at his pinnacle Morey was ranked 6th or 7th in the GM ranking, I think that was fair.. Rafael was ranked 17th in the Executive ranking if my memory serves me right, and that is fair as well..... Morey's fatal flaw is his mistrust in people and people in him.....and that is going to be his undoing as well. But you cannot tell me with a straight face, that he was not a good GM, at least he tried to improve the team 100x more than Rafael Stone does now who is literally enjoying his time now. He and couple others came up with the layups and 3 model that the league adapted to, it is a boring model but the NBA is like that now. He was revolutionary dude.....
He was a good gm but I don't know why you think Stone didn't improve the team. Stone has done an excellent job building the team now the diff is they are 21 yr Olds and you gotta wait a couple years for Sengun and Co. to grow up. It's like Stone planted the seeds even if you see some early returns the crop needs to ripen first before you can harvest the fruits of his labor. The average CF poster got 0 clue and the type to call Jabari a bust in his rookie year so I'm not surprised at all the hate and toxicity on this board. When you got smooth brained posters calling Jabari a bust last year and Amen a bust halfway into his rookie year you know the average poster here can't see past his nose. People wanting Stone fired for "doing **** job" when the CF preseason poll is only 36 wins posters here are such clowns. It's not like Morey made the team contender day 1 either it took 5 yrs to get Harden and then Morey immediately wasted his prime by blowing the cap on Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon. So just comparing the two Stone technically still has 2 more years before we should start having expectations. I've been here since YaoMac so I find it weird how people always try to rewrite history just to crap on Stone. In comparison to Morey Stone has done a much better job in much less time when comparing their rebuilds. Stone already found his "Harden" 2 yrs earlier and unlike Morey he surrounded his Harden with similar aged players and didn't commit any long term money to scrubs like Ryan Anderson or Ty Lawson. People always like to crap on Stone for missing on Tyty, Garuba and JC but conviently forget Morey passed on freaking Kawhi Leonard for Baby Melo and traded Nicholas Batum for Donte Greene.
And that's a good thing, the commie you-tok videos seek to sap and impurify our precious bodily fluids. Stay strong.
Speaking of youtube: There's 6 minutes left in the 4Q of '95 Game 7 in Phoenix, and the Rockets are down 1... These bastards don't know what's about to hit'em
VORP they are both 0.1 BPM Cade is -1.6 and Jalen is -1.8 WS/48 Cade is .013 and Jalen is .031 They are both not good but Cade is even worse.
