Welp, we have been overperforming with hustle and discipline and opponents bricking early in the season. It was predicted, and rightfully so, cost of effort would catch up to us. Physically and mentally.

It makes sense it catches up during a long road trip, middle of the season, 5 games in 8 days or so? I know it sounds like BS but it is what it is.

 

So essentially this was a direct criticism of how FVV played this game…he’ll respond well, I think. Frustrating night in a lot of areas, but at the end of the day it’s just one game.

 

This match was lost due your bad coaching.. Rockets is not three-point shoter team currently. So, going one on one too much and looking for fouls" was the best option. The players are seriously regressing. Because, they cannot understand you.

 

Mostly valid criticism but also lots of filler fluff. Tired of this "playing hard, being physical" ****. We defended really good tonight and the ball movement was awesome. I can't remember the number of times one of our players had a wide open shot opportunity. We couldn't make those shots, that's the primary reason we lost this game. When we don't hit our shots our only alternative is Sengun and if he is not nuclear then the offense simply does not exist.

 

We didn't really regress in a lot of areas. We did but not because the whole team suddenly decided not to hustle on d. We can't shoot 3's for a while and that's why we are losing.

We lost all these games. Making your shots fire up the team you play with intensity hustle more. It gives entire team a boost. They want to hold on to the lead do whatever it takes to stay at that level. If you can't you get demoralized, lose your focus. That's about it we didn't suddenly decide not to defend. We need shooters and get rid of Jalen as soon as possible.

There will be ups and downs. Still have them winning 38 games this season. May or may not make the play-in depending on the other bubble teams.

 

Not just FVV. Jalen and Sengun tried to foul bait a ton as well.

 

Cam Whitmore had a dunk blocked where he was hammered - no call and missed 2 shots and didn't see the floor in the 2nd half even though he played excellent D and is one of our only good shooters.

Brooks just come back. Tari's still out. We're so young. Obviously something's got to be done about Jalen. Bench him or trade him. My God. Enough is enough. No more 4 on 5. Either way we need a another 2 and a good sized back up 5.

I'd rather have J Lin over Jalen.

 

Jalens agent must have Udoka and Stone by the short hairs for him to be still part of the starting 5. His ability to suck as bad as he has and still keep his role is starting to have a negative effect on the rest of the squad. The dude just needs to go.

 

This is definitely a down. Going in, no one said this season was going to be easy. (unless they were crazy)
